In my own mind, Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, and Joe Louis clearly have their cases to be in that "best to ever put on a pair of gloves" conversation, but why not Archie Moore?
You don't have to sit here and act like no one knows who Archie Moore is. He's one of my favorite old-school fighters. I've never seen a boxing historian, ever in my life, rank him as #1 greatest of all time. He was an awesome legendary fighter, ONE of the best, but not THE best ever. Pretty simple

      Different standards for each fighter?
The truth Is, neither guy looked good at all. After watching the live broadcast and sitting through the replay the following week, I came to the same score both times of 8-4 for Mayweather. There can be no dispute that Floyd won, although, In the over all scheme of things, for as big as this fight was, they both laid an egg. History will look back on this fight as the fight that did not live up to the hype. Both guys seemed scared of the other one and Floyd Sr confirmed that thought with his speech between rounds.

Floyd beat an all time great by a landslide. That's not laying an egg. That's being a legend. This is a sport. You can't just pretend he wasn't great considering Pacquiao's resume.

Pac looked bad because Floyd made him look bad. Floyd did his thing. Stop hating.

He's certainly in my Top 5. I'm not waiting until he dies or can't speak to give him his ratings.

Boxrec ratings have always been a joke, so this is no surprise. They will probably have Golovkin #10 by the end of the year. Mayweather should be about #30 all time.

No one is hating anything. Floyd won 8-4 and Is an all time great. That doesn't change the fact that he looked like s**t and was fighting scared and that the fight didn't live up to expectations. There has been better fights on Friday night fights.

Don't bother man, that performance is some sort of clinic to his worshippers. To everyone else it was a **** fight.

Very few, if any, guys on here can compile a well researched and legitimate ATG top 100 list. You'd have to devout a large portion of your life to really create one honestly. With that said, boxrec rankings are always there for a good laugh.

Yeah, I see that. It's ridiculous. If you give your honest opinion and It doesn't fit there agenda or there particular take on Floyd's performance then you are considered a hater.
