According to your thinking, Joey Maxim should be above Floyd Patterson, and Antonio Tarver and Denis Lebedev should be ahead of Roy Jones.
Jones has a win over Tarver and was shot in subsequent matches with Tarver and Lebedev(who was prime and world level not an out of shape 10 yrs past prime neverwas). Pacquiao was green and not world level yet. Schemling of course proved himself against the great Louis. The others also fought against ATG level opposition.
Wlad was in his prime when brutalized in only seconds by the failed contender retiree and was forever terrified of a rematch.

FM vs Pacquiao is the most significant fight on his resume, yet it was fought AFTER he got brutally KO'ed.

we're not talking about a nice little right hand where Pac stumbled and couldn't get up, but one that put him out on the canvas motionless for 5+ mnutes. Took him a while to came back from it.

One of the worst in boxing History.

just saying. IF he had fought him closer to his prime, it would've been different.

Why do you keep saying this? No way in hell was Pacquiao #2 P4P at the time of the Mayweather fight.

Mayweather deserves credit for beating Pacquiao, no doubt. My question that seems to be being avoided Is who has Mayweather beat that was better than James Toney and who other than Chico Corrales has Floyd beat In there prime.
I would say Castillo and Hatton. Castillo beat everyone at lightweight. That's a really underrated win for Floyd.

After he got Ko'ed by Marquez, andre ward too over #2, his ranking took a big dip.

Might be worth noting that max rating of some boxers is two or three times May's max rating. SRR had a rating of 6000+ at some point according to Boxrec.

He was #3 according to The Ring, and I thought that wasn't even clear to some others. But I did think Pac was and is still #2 in the division under Mayweather.
