It depends what you're looking for. You can make whatever kind of narrative you want to discredit fighters/fights. It's really easy to say whatever you want after the fact. Before the fight there was a lot of hype on this site that Floyd was going to get KO'ed. After Pac lost he was CLEARLY damaged goods (before the fight even though he was still going to win by KO and throw 100 punches per round yet he was somehow still damaged goods). Can't have it both ways. Same thing with Mosely, Canelo, Cotto etc. Before those fights people had a lot of reasons why they would win. After those fights people had a lot of excuses as to why they lost.

At the end of the day Floyd beat much more p4p ranked fighters (at the time of the fight) than RJJ and that is a fact.

Mayweather had a better win than anything on Jones's resume, beat more title holders and more P4P rated fighters. Mayweather's resume is better than Jones's, i don't even see how it could be debatable.

Best posts in this microcosm debate. He beat the #2 p4p fighter and they're trying to make it a bad thing.

Most logical boxing fans did not think Pacquiao was going to knock Floyd out and this certainly Isn't the site to reference when It comes to logical boxing fans. Mayweather deserves credit for beating Pacquiao, no doubt. My question that seems to be being avoided Is who has Mayweather beat that was better than James Toney and who other than Chico Corrales has Floyd beat In there prime.

Pacquiao was better than James Toney. Pacquiao was viewed as a top 2 P4P fighter when Mayweather beat him was Toney?

In fact, u could argue he had the better resume and was favorite in some circles..and got Dominated by RJJ..

Did he have a better resume and was more highly rated than Pacquiao when the fights happened? That's what we're comparing.

Most of their rankings are quite puzzling. If Wlad is #37 then the shot2**** retiree neverwas Golfer who crushed him in mere seconds and had him running in fear from a rematch should also be top 50 but of course that isn't right.
