Isn't it pretty clear? If Floyd fights in september its going to be Amir Khan, and maybe even on NBC free tv because the buys for this fight would be very low anyway. Floyd is teasing us with the Berto / Mayfield talk so we are all "relieved" he doesnt fight them and fights the "superior" Khan instead. Thurman, Brook and Bradley are the ones that deserve the fight and Amir probably gets it, but boxing fans are getting screwed anyhow with Floyd.. time he finally retires for good.

Floyd will just wait till the last moment to announce the fight so Khan has less time to train, with current Ramadhan there you already have the reason why the fight is not being announced yet, it will probably be announced slowly before or when Ramadhan ends - on july 17th.

One of the most ignorant things I always read online, what would Khan lose if he already started training last week or this week just in case Floyd picks him? this is the biggest fight in his life! Plus fighters should keep themselves in shape all year round, just like Floyd himself does.

I expect Floyd to fight Cotto next or to wait till Cotto fights Canelo then fights the winner for the WBC title, which would be the best option for him financially and legacywise too, plus neither Canelo nor Cotto can beat Floyd, so both fight wouldn't be tough.

Think about all the ATGs u know, who fought a tough opponent in his farewell fight? Which ATG carried the sport for the last 6-7 years of his career? Very very few. Plus Thurman won't sell and he does nothing to Floyd's legacy. Thurman should take the offer and fight Spence, take advantage of Spence's inexperience on the big stage, also it will probably be the first time he goes 12 rounds, i think Spence is actually an easier fight for Thurman than Mayweather.
