Floyd calling out Cotto with 14 pro-fights is a joke, especially after who he had already faced. When the time for them to fight in an actual evenly matched up event, Floyd retired. He fought him anyway, when it was best for Floyd of course, but I want to see a rematch.

The first fight I said Cotto would lose but give Floyd his toughest fight. I know boxing, at very least I know Cotto and Floyd, seen nearly every one of their fights. In a rematch, I would take Cotto. Sadly, I don't know if it will ever happen. The only way it does if it Cotto beats Canelo and then, maybe, we'll get Floyd/Cotto II for the MW title and Floyd going 50-0 in May.

Watch the Gatti fight. Cotto was ringside as there was a potential matchup with Floyd. Cotto didnt want none of mayweather after that fight.

Cotto came up again right before Mayweather left Top Rank. Mayweather was to fight Margo for $8 million and then Cotto after. Mayweather demanded $10 million and Arum refused. Floyd bought out of his Top Rank contract for 300k and fought DLH for over $20 million.

Obviously Arum has been pissed with him ever since. Mayweather fought Cotto literally the first time he was available after his contract with TR ran out and was a free agent.

Saying Mayweather ducked Margo is a joke when he fought DLH at 154 instead who is a bigger challenge.

Saying he ducked Cotto is a joke because they talked about that fight in 2005 at 140 and cotto "wasnt ready" yet. Mayweather fought him as soon as he was a free agent and made him do the funky chicken dance in the 12th.

Thats just what the HBO crew said..Hatton and Cotto were there, but neither would have beat him at 140 to be honest, they were still wet behind the ears and at 140 Floyd was a damn seasoned Beast..Cotto got into his groove at 147 as at 140 he was really draining himself

Only Floyd would get credit for calling out a who had been pro for 4 years LMAO. Seriously, you guys are idiots. Floyd calling out Cotto with 14 pro fights isn't a ballsy move, it's a b*tch move lol.

Thank you Larry, Floyd/Cotto at 140 is a mismatch. Cotto's best win was who Pinto? Floyd had already beaten top 10 P4P fighters at that time.

Floyd "retired" after he knocked out Hatton and Cotto beat Mosley in 2007. That fight would have been huge at that time. Big money too. Both undefeated and prime. Both big draws. Instead Cotto went on to go though a war with Margarito, fought Clottey with 1 eye, punished by prime MONSTER Pacquiao.
