There is a mistake in the article. Golovkin has never offered to drop to 154 to fight Canelo and Loeffler even stated after the Monroe fight that he would not be interested in fighting Canelo at anything other than 160 and considered it ridiculous that two middleweights would fight below 160.

Other than that, I guess Golovkin is finally getting frustrated enough to start calling these guys out publicly. It's damn well about time.

Why are we assuming HBO would be the one to block the Lara/Golovkin fight? A member of the CSAC was quoted saying Haymon tried to block the LA Forum a few months ago. Only fight held at the Forum this year was Golovkin's.

And Lara averaged under $300k per fight vs Angulo, Trout, and Matirosyn. Now suddenly he gets $1mill for Rodriguez?!! What do you realistically think he'll expect for Golovkin?

The Froch fight had not happened yet because Ward had just fought Froch.
