Ward didn't want any part of Lucian ****ing Bute lol
Bute even offered to go to Oakland but Ward did not want.
Completely cleaning out 168 and then fighting Dawson at 175 is what a real fighter would've done. Not Ward though lol
but back to the topic, Tom has no issues clearing the air when ppl speak out on GGG moving up, or fighters claiming their side want a CW, but when it comes to ward, he says the financials aren't there and the trainer is to blame for all the talk, meanwhile the trainer doesnt feel its fair that GGG should out his weight class when he hasn't beaten everyone and GGG talking smack to guys outside his weight DESPITE ALL THREE MEN SAYING ANYONE FROM 154-168 COULD GET IT. but when it comes to ward, NO ONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE. make that make sense please?

Watch Ward's fights with them then compare and contrast their fights with Bute.
The rest of the guys Ward fought were in the S6 tournament. That's the only reason Ward fought them lol.
Holy **** this is too easy.
Bute had better performances vs common opponents and Ward talked his way out of it.

Early 2012, fights the LHW champ at 168, late 2012 he signed to fight Kelly Pavlik and early 2013 called out Chavez Jr.
Ward says the fact that Pavlik has fought some top fighters and has stayed busy during the past year as he came back from stints in alcohol and drug rehab makes him an opponent to be reckoned with.
"I've heard all the talk about Kelly Pavlik, but I know better than that. He's beaten plenty of the big names," Ward said. "Bob Arum has done a great job of keeping Kelly busy until an opportunity like this came along. You can bet that a former world champion like Kelly Pavlik, being afforded another title shot ... he's going to be primed and ready. We are going to be ready too, and it's going to be a tremendous show."
"That's the fight that fans want to see. I don't necessarily think they want to see him and [Sergio] Martinez again. It was a great 12th round but it's pretty much going to be the same fight. [Chavez is] busting out of 160, he's coming to 168. If he comes to 168 then I think we should see each other. I think that's a mega, mega fight the fans will want to see. ... I'm going to tell you this: Chavez Jr is not an easy fight. A lot of people say [it's easy] but that's not an easy fight. He's a big kid, he's a strong kid and he can punch."

Unrelated note, the word "jabs" in the title was a refreshing deviation from "rips"/sheds""Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 07-03-2015, 09:55 PM.

He's already offered to fight at 168 against Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and offered to move down to junior middleweight for bouts against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. As the holder of the WBC interim-crown at 160, he is the mandatory challenger to Miguel Cotto.

I'll cease there, without going into the Ward drama or the Floyd drama .........

Froch realises Gennady would rip his head off..that's why he's backtracked on his original comment saying he wants golovkin next. The ward fight would be competitive though

Like I said at the time after the S6 Bute was #2 at 168.
Pre S6 final, Ward says the winner should fight Bute and completely clean out the div.
Super6 Final post fight interview, Ward starts turns into a promoter/manager and talks his way out of fighting Bute.
He's a bull**** artist.
Bute offered a career high payday in Canada, even offered to travel to Oakland, was undefeated, had the IBF belt to unify, had better performances vs common opponents and Ward DID NOT WANT IT lol.
Looks even worse now in HINDSIGHT after we seen what Froch did. You should be lol'ing at Ward for that, you dumb b*stard.
