    Dirrell-Degale
And there's probably a bunch of others that I haven't mentioned

Problem is, these matches haven't produced the most exciting and memorable fights save for a few
No one really wanted Broner-Molina, Algieri-Khan, and to be honest no one was crying out for Garcia-Peterson and Porter-Broner.

And that's what it comes down to imo, not giving the fans what they want.

From Haymon's stable of fighters almost any boxingscene poster could put together 6 can't miss match-ups that everybody could get excited for.

As an aside, Dirrell-DeGale was mandated by the IBF so it's difficult to assign credit to PBC for matchmaking on that one.

Haymon could use more action fighters. Unfortunately a lot of casuals don't appreciate the sweet science.

I think there's many problems with PBC. Of course it's free and that's its best attribute. One big problem is that there are no stars. Khan and Wilder may eventually transition into becoming stars but i think a majority of the roster will struggle to be "household" names. Broner had an oppurtunity last week but obv blew it.

The matchmaking has been slow but they are just starting so who knows what will happen down the line. I think Marv Albert and Leonard have been awful. Albert sounds like he's never called a fight before. Leonard just comes off as too nice and many times he'll just blindly praise the A side. Last week he was saying the Broner-Porter fight was close towards the later rounds and it was obv Broner was losing wide. The ring entrance is short and forgettable and the music is boring. I don't think it will survive 2-3 years from now with the amount of money the fighters are getting but things could eventually pick up, only time will tell.

          UFC has the same problem.

But unlike boxing they took measures to fix this problem. Smaller cages, and rewarding action fighters with bonus checks.

Boxing needs to rid itself of his pattern of constant holding and Huge rings.

It's killing the sport and shouldn't be considered "sweet science". Running and holding is not "sweet science", it's boring as ****, and it's killing this sport.

            My two cents

            • the fights are sometimes mismatches. And not the good kind to build a guy up, but ones that just seem put together to pass time.

            • most of the fights that look good on paper don't seem to deliver. Even when I myself am enjoying it, I feel this nagging voice in the back of my head saying "man the casuals probably find this boring." Normally I don't care what casuals think but PBC needs them to keep going forward and I don't want the thing to collapse and lose my free boxing.

            • while I love more boxing being around, I feel I can be more picky about which ones I want to watch. Before hand if HBO had a fight on I felt compelled to watch it because it might be weeks before another one was on.

All in all I've enjoyed PBC, but I don't feel it has done a lot to expand boxings popularity. I was one of the people who said "boxing isn't mainstream because every halfway significant fight is on HBO and not everyone has access to it, but PBC makes me think perhaps that wasn't the reason boxing had become such a niche sport. Maybe I just need to accept that boxing isn't and maybe never will be a mainstream sport again.

As you can see I don't really have any answers for fixing it. At the end of the day it probably just comes down to the fighters being in more exciting fights, but that's not really something you can fix.

Matchmaking and the level of action has been average...

Also being on random channels at random times does not help in building an audience..

Bellator and wwe have grew and established their businesses by being on the same channel, at the same time, same day of every week..... PBC needs to be more consistent in scheduling..

Instead of just buying TV time on all the networks, PBC needed to buy every Friday night on espn for the next 2 years, and use the espn hype machine

All these guys flocking to PBC though, it's making it difficult getting fights done with HBO and Showtime guys, and there are some real good matchups out there if we could get past all the promotional beef.

Haymon is fast becoming a monopoly over there, and you can't blame the fighters because the $$$$$ is right.
You don't understand how things are. Showtime guys and PBC guys are all under the same umbrella (Al Haymon). It's just a matter of Al deciding on what channel he'll show his fighters. For instance, Johny Gonzalez last fight was on Showtime and his return could be on PBC and viceversa. Just wanted to clear that out!
