What's the problem with the Pbc so far? And how to fix it?

I don't really like Al Haymon to be honest...but giving my honest opinion the pbc so far has been terrible...really the only fights I've enjoyed so far have been the berto fight and ghost vs thurman..I honestly find myself skipping threw the recorded broadcast to find out the outcome... The matchups have been bad, announcers have been awful I mean so far the pbc has been pure garbage. But I love the sport and being shown on NBC,cbs, espn and other platforms can only help it grow. So deep down inside I'm pulling for this to work. What can they do to fix it?

I found the majority of the fights pretty watchable.

All these guys flocking to PBC though, it's making it difficult getting fights done with HBO and Showtime guys, and there are some real good matchups out there if we could get past all the promotional beef.

Haymon is fast becoming a monopoly over there, and you can't blame the fighters because the $$$$$ is right.

In all seriousness, this feels like the housing market bubble that burst in the mid.2000's.

Boxers are benefiting now with these purses, but what happens once the cash is done? Also what makes us believe that HBO wouldn't just pull the plug on their boxing content, rather than welcome PBC to thier network?

Where will the money come from then? I don't see cbs/nbc/abc/fox picking up that tab. One thing is a time buy, completely different when paying for PBC.

All I really care about it matchmaking. On that front it's an improvement on Showtime Haymon.

They need to stop trying so hard to be different. Make boxing how it is on HBO and just make it how it's always been.

That's not saying much though is it? I have enjoyed a few PBC fights, but overall I don't think it's a good product, there have been very few compelling match-ups(in relation to Haymon's huge stable) so far and not one truly amazing fight. The thing is that you can't make the best matchups and protect the fighters at the same time, and Haymon has attracted a lot of fighters who want big paydays but easy fights. It makes sense for the fighters but it's bad for the PBC brand, and it might prove unsustainable, but who knows.
