I try not to place any pressure on any fighters to move up or down as only fighters know their bodies best . That being said I do think that naturally outgrowing a weight class and moving up based on your strength is a viable argument . Ward should move north because he has outgrown his weight class due to the lack of fighters willing to fight him based on his skill set and the lack of talent within the division, not because of strength . its arguable that GGG has outgrown his weight class due to his strength but I disagree as he still sometimes struggles with opponents at 168 , plus lemieux still lingers as a formidable foe . Kovalev on the other hand has outgrown his weight class because of his strength and size . If their is no Stevenson fight then he should be calling out Beterbiev not waiting for Ward to finally get to 175 and then get acclimated as that may take 2 years. Beterbiev stated plainly he's ready and willing , but Kovalev won't answer the call , and I'm sure Haymon has NO issue allowing Beterbiev to venture over to HBO to steal Kov's belts .

When it became clear that HBO was NOT going to offer up as much as she expected, she pulled back.
so should we ignore the fact that Stevenson ran to Showtime with your idol Haymon when he was fighting in HBO at the same time Kovalev was fighting at HBO? The fight is obviously not going to happen under Haymon's promotional team and yes he is a promoter hiding as a manager. The fight could've been easily made, and Kovalev wanted that fight more than you and Stevenson. so what if the fight didn't get made he didn't make that decision. Stay biased. Remember Haymon is to blame for Rigondeaux vs LSC it's obvious he is stopping this fight.

BTW: I thought Stevenson had a good shot because Kovalev is a sucker to left hands but there is no point watching him fight if he doubts himself so much.

But like I said I don't think either is afraid of the other
Well documented? AFAIK none of Stevenson's purses are published. Besides his main source of revenue is Canada ppv and live gate, which would have been tons more for Kovalev unification vs his mismatches

GGG was the one saying he was the best from 154-168. Well he needs to back those types of claims up. Period.

Ward supporters like myself want to see Ward take on/out GGG and Kovalev.

Ward is "good money". He's eerily similar to Floyd Mayweather in that way.
            Lolwut? Most ******ed alt ever?

They're the ones who really don't want the fight. If Duva and Kovalev didn't want it, why were they trying to take Stevenson and Yvon Michel to court over their supposed agreement to fight last year? You're a dummy.
If the plan was always to stay with HBO, because the believed lapse of the deal was largely why the WBC made Kovalev-Pascal for WBC mandatory challenger, Team Kovalev shouldn't have said **** in the first place.

Kovalev tried to talk a ton of mess, using his loud talking to try and build his name up, only to then tuck tail and run the moment that Stevenson said "no problem, let's make the fight".

From now on, whenever Kovalev tries to puff his chest out again, whomever present should remind him how much a ***** he looked when team Stevenson called his bluff.

They should call his bluff by fighting him on HBO for tons more money and exposure he can get fighting scrubs off Hbo

I am a fan of all three fighters and how is Ward going to cash out at 168 against a fighter that as of yet hasn't even moved up? I also have no problem with GGG wanting to stay at middleweight to become undisputed champ, or at least try. I would believe that all true boxing fans also would not have an issue with that.
True, GGG hasn't moved up yet, guess I just assumed he would after he faces the winner of Canelo or Cotto. And lets be honest, GGG will move up right now for the right opponent (Chavez, Froch) so it's not totally out of the question for him to give Ward a shot sooner than later.

And by cashing out I meant that Ward can still make good money facing Degale or Grooves while waiting to see how the GGG situation plays out. Ward's caution in moving to 175lb is understandable, once he moves up he's there for good....

                      Lol, yeah.

Yvon Michel called Kathy Duva's bluff, and she backed off. So hooray for Yvon Michel, nice work there. But let's not forget why he did it - because he didn't want Stevenson to have to get in the ring with Kovalev.
