Instead of arguing about the true nature of why the bout didn't take place, who do you think would have won?

As to the other part of your poll I think it's impossible to place the blame squarely on one part. Both had a great gig going on either side of the Atlantic and it would be expensive to get either one to travel. Anyway it's a damn shame that the fight did not happen.

I'm sure i read somewhere Michalczewski agreed to fight in America but Jones wanted all the American money, Michalczewski would get the German. Which was of course turned down by Michalczewski.

I love Roy and have always said that I have never seen anything like him in the ring, but this is just another example of why I have a hard time calling him an ATG. Not fighting Benn, Collins, Eubank and this guy is just hard to ignore imo.

What makes it even worse is that Jones faced Hill after Hill had lost all his belts and the american boxing media made it sound like THE match up for the legitimate LHW crown.

Eubank was never viable.
Collins only held the WBO.
Also, Roy tried to fight Frankie Liles in 1996, with his manager Jack O'Halloran claiming that Frankie blew a great fight, by asking for more money at the last minute. HBO also confirmed that Frankie had been offered 7 figures, which would have been his biggest purse at the time.
So Roy decided to move up to LHW, and Collins was left behind.
