Khan-Brook would have done **** numbers in the USA. At least Algeiri has a little following in NYC. Brook has no following in the USA.

Also, Khan is probably waiting for that fight to get bigger.

Why fight Brook now for 7 Million when he can fight him for double that in 2 years.
Froch-Groves II did excellent ratings on HBO considering the time difference. Groves was a completely unknown prospect who'd never been on US TV and Froch had been on HBO once. Brook has fought on American TV before against Porter and Khan has fought several times on American TV. Poor excuse.

Khan would have won a world title in front of 80k fans who he could have won over with a great performance. Then he'd have the backing of the whole nation going into a Mayweather fight. He could have taken a Hatton-esque crowd over.

Instead his popularity in the UK is plummeting faster than a fat girl down a water slide, he has like a band of 12 of his family and friends that travel to his fights. Plus no one really cares about him in America either because he's fighting nobodies like Algieri.

@ 2 years. If he gets the Mayweather fight, he'll lose and then the Brook fight isn't worth as much.

Yea yea. I'd rather see Khan against Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Cotto.

There's no way he gets a bigger purse against any fighter than he does against Brook but it's business.

He knows if Brook beat him, all other big money fights are basically off the table. If he was to lose against Floyd or Manny...big deal, the Brook fight would still be there anyway i think. So it's a choice between 1 big payday or at least 2. It's a business at the end of the day, so anybody is going to go the route of 2 potential paydays rather than a possibility of 1.

I think its a mixture of that and a fear of losing to Brook. I don't think he's scared to fight Brook or anyone, but fear of losing to him is a different thing. Khan see's himself as the number 1 British fighter around his weight, so i think it's a fear of losing to the guy that people say is better, in front of a huge crowd on the big stage. That is a reputation damaging fight, especially after how much the fight would be built up in the UK, all eyes would be on it.

          • Only the odd mug on here rates Khan , khan can't really think much of himself because he calls everyone out except Wilder and fights and struggles against Chris Algieri.Come on mugs surely your'e not that gullible ............are you ?????

            • Brook is going nowhere. He'll fight Khan even with 3 loses in his last 3 fights. Khan is his only money fight. So why in Neptune would you rush this fight if you were Khan? It's so basic. He'll always be there for him.

Let's have a look, shall we?

Khan's resume: Barrera, Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, Peterson, Collazo, Alexander.

                Kell Brook, who?
                EXACTLY!!!

AK is gonna catch alot of slack for this comment....I think it's better if Uncle Al advises him to just be quiet and focus on fighting....he's talking himself into deep hate hole with the fans....still my guy!!

                • Khan is a decent fighter, but he holds himself in pretty high regard for being starched by 3 guys. Khan talks about his power and I don't think he knocked Chris down once and Manny did it what--6 times was it? Khan is after a payday with Mayweather. We'll all differ on the opinion of this, but I think Khan is easier for Floyd than Manny was for him.

Yup. Kell Brook's resume is nothing special. Who did Brook just fight? I don't even know his name but he was a crap opponent.

Khan is a much better fighter than Brook. He's levels up. And he will beat that a$$ when they fight.

It's just that Khan would rather fight guys (Mayweather, Pacquiao, Cotto) who would bring more money, and/ or more exposure to the American market.
