No I get that...it's insane to compare the 2 (organized team professional sports such as the NFL versus boxing) because they're on polar opposite ends of the sports spectrum...but doesn't the UFC consistently matchup their top guys? I don't know, like I said, I don't follow UFC at all. But that's what I've heard. I'm just saying, there has to be a better way. When we (the boxing fans) actually get a big fight that we want, it can take literally years...and that's when we do get the fight. Sometimes we don't get them at all.

Now that the fight happened and I can state my opinion without being a Pact.rd or a fl.mo, I will say this: I think the whole drug testing thing was a ploy from both to get to be the "A-Side". Both fighters thought they had a right to be the A Side (not like in 2015, Floyd was the clear A-Side) and didn't want to budge on anything.
Floyd wanted testing up until 7 days of the fight (or whatever it was) and Manny wanted testing up until 17 days (or whatever it was). Point being, they should've just met in the middle at like 12 days or something but their ego's were too big.
Could Manny be on PED's? Sure, but ANY athlete can be on PED's. Hell, it wouldn't shock me if MOST athletes are on some sort of PED, but without real proof everything is just speculationComment

Right and when Manny underwent USADA testing against Floyd and had surgery on his shoulder days after the fight...
Floyd as Manny said "didn't do nothing"
Manny had VADA testing against Algieri and dominated him in every way...
Khan (who Maliganggi talks about like he's Sugar Ray Robinson) got a gift decision after being walked down and exposed by Algieri...
Paulie...let the Manny thing go seriously...the guy you should be concerned about is Porter who kicked your ass but looked like sht against Brook when he was subjected to random-testing...Comment

Sometimes a lot of you guys over-criticise the sport. Other than Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, between two top fighters of the decade, what fights really took several years to make?No I get that...it's insane to compare the 2 (organized team professional sports such as the NFL versus boxing) because they're on polar opposite ends of the sports spectrum...but doesn't the UFC consistently matchup their top guys? Floyd was never as muscular at the lower weight classes... Floyd was hurting his hand every other fight...now he punches bigger guys and his hand never hurts or breaks... he walks through punches like nothing...hardly ever gets hurt even when he's hit flush and look at his body before and after...not to mention, he only uses USADA testing...he will not use any other company...Now that the fight happened and I can state my opinion without being a Pact.rd or a fl.mo, I will say this: I think the whole drug testing thing was a ploy from both to get to be the "A-Side". Not saying Floyd is juicing but he is as suspect as anyone...Comment

Team Mayweather actually did try to meet in the middle. Team Pacquaio wanted a cut off around 20+ days. Team Mayweather originally wanted no-cut off. But ended up offering a 14-day cut off as a final compromise. This went rejected by the other party. Now that the fight happened and I can state my opinion without being a Pact.rd or a fl.mo, I will say this: I think the whole drug testing thing was a ploy from both to get to be the "A-Side". How about we go with a childish network and promoter cold war for starters. There was/is a laundry list of attractive fights that couldn't even be entertained (the idea alone) because of a personal divide between promoters and networks. What other sport deals with **** like this? And if you want a specific example, how about we start with Kovalev/Stevenson?
Dude I love the sport and am front & center of that television (or there at the fights personally if it's within a few hundred miles of me) of every single televised boxing card, but if you don't see how highly flawed the sport is, then I don't know what to tell ya.Comment

Right, that's what it was. Manny wanted 20, Floyd wanted 7. I didn't remember the exact amount of days. Whatever the case may be, I think their ego's as well as bad blood between Floyd and Bob is what ultimately made the fight happen 5 years too lateComment
