naw you can't just say that, because in the case of margarito, Floyd actually had a fight on the table with dude, and opted to turn it down...dude actually called him out, to his face, and its on tape...

the posts speak louder than the polls and it was the usual butthurts who wanted to see the man lose who clung to the idea of margo being their great hope of seeing him lose....it had nothing to do with the guys talent.....he was basic as all hell....size, chin and stamina, thats about it.

you know...the cats that just want to see him lose, is such a small minority, but you Floyd excuse makers, and nutthuggers, talk so much s**t that is so astronomical, or just plain wrong and nonsensical, that the hatefests are amped up that much more...

most of us just wanted to see some more competitive fights from floyd...for me its after hatton that I have issues with...in your opinion margarito was basic, that's your opinion, but facts is he's a guy Floyd did not fight and an offer was on the table...it ain't that easy to say well Floyd would have beat him anyway, when he had the chance to beat him for 8 million...8 million ain't chicken scratch fam...

Lennox Lewis CHOSE to fight Michael Grant when his mandatory was...John Ruiz. He did this because he decided, along with his fan base that Grant was a legitimate challenge you dig so far pinhead?

If Lewis had decided not to take that fight with Grant some may have said he had avoided the tougher opponent. I never said that Floyd ducked Margarito. I did say I don't blame him for avoiding a taxing fight which had nothing to do with him "losing" to Margarito (wasn't happening). Margarito did not have near the skills that the guys you mentioned have. Even maidana who was rather one dimensional had better boxing skills... Margarito punched with his elbows flaired out! margarito never applied reach...he came forwards, thats what he did, end of skill set.

The only way he was smothering Floyd was if Floyd lost his legs.
