By "demolish" does he mean he'd throw slaps at Froch until he got the usual premature British stoppage?

Demolish? Nah, i'd fancy him to win a competitive fight though.

I'm a big fan of both guys. Calzaghe was right not to fight Froch back then IMO, he had bigger fights/pay-days ahead in America. But to me, it seems these days as Froch gets more recognition, it's Calzaghe who wants to talk about him.
Leave it be fella's, it was boring back then..it's even more boring now.

I can not grasp how anyone could favour Froch over Calzaghe, Froch is just so basic, even George Groves made him look ordinary for 6 rounds right after the biggest moment in Froch's career back to back wins over Bute and Kessler ! I don't what to say to anyone who believes Froch would beat Joe.
Calzaghe should have lost to Robin Reid. People seem to completely ignore that fight.

He also clearly lost to Hopkins IMO, but hey...

At the time Calzaghe had already moved up to the light heavyweight division and was chasing fights in America, with Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr.

Recently Calzaghe and Froch renewed their domestic rivalry, as they traded words on the social networks. Calzaghe has been retired for since 2009 and has no plans to return for Froch, who himself is on the edge of announcing his retirement.

I dont think he actually beat Hopkins. To say he would dominate Andre Ward is laughable. Andre Ward will give anyone a tough fight. I've said this before but a lot of people don't know he hasn't lost a fight since he was 12. Anyone who know amateur boxing knows decisions there are sometimes worse than pro fights so you have to be dominant to always win. Calzaghe isn't coming back and he shouldn't be expected to.

Put down by RJJ and Hopkins? Yeah, Froch by KO.
