Golovkins excuses to justify his underwhelming resume are just that, excuses !
As this article proves, there are obviously better opponents who are more than willing to fight him, but Team Golovkin seem to be happy with how the hype-train is progressing, so.....
The thing I cant understand, are silly fanboys jumping all over the financial excuses.
When you have a weak resume and are relatively unknown, you dont get to hide behind accounting figures.
The excuse that Ward " does not bring enough to the table " is ridiculous.
When Pacquiao/Mayweather/Cotto/Canelo state that a certain fighter "does not bring enough to the table", they prove it by signing to fight a more lucrative opponent..... but when Golovkin states that Ward "does not bring enough to the table"..... he fights Willie Monroe.
I could understand his position if he had only been campaigning for 2-3 years.
But afte 9 years as a professional, you have to take ownership of your resume. Golovkin has the resume that he wanted.
