  • Golovkins excuses to justify his underwhelming resume are just that, excuses !

As this article proves, there are obviously better opponents who are more than willing to fight him, but Team Golovkin seem to be happy with how the hype-train is progressing, so.....

The thing I cant understand, are silly fanboys jumping all over the financial excuses.

When you have a weak resume and are relatively unknown, you dont get to hide behind accounting figures.

The excuse that Ward " does not bring enough to the table " is ridiculous.

When Pacquiao/Mayweather/Cotto/Canelo state that a certain fighter "does not bring enough to the table", they prove it by signing to fight a more lucrative opponent..... but when Golovkin states that Ward "does not bring enough to the table"..... he fights Willie Monroe.

I could understand his position if he had only been campaigning for 2-3 years.

But afte 9 years as a professional, you have to take ownership of your resume. Golovkin has the resume that he wanted.

Listen, I'm a fan of GGG, but 1.) he needs to face better competition and 2.) his team needs to stop talking so much shit. Because it just doesn't add up once you view the recordings and read the public statements.
      The bold ^^

After hearing the hype about Golovkin..... the only thing funnier than his resume, is the fact that his fans accept it.

Yep. When fans get crushes like they did on Sergio, the resume doesn't mean shyt. They just want to love...

        • So, all of those C-class fighters had no problem whatsoever fighting Golovkin.....
..... but the good guys are all too scared, right ?

And, when Golovkin stated that Ward " does not bring enough to the table ".....
..... he meant that Willie Monroe " bought more to the table ", right ?

Or is it that Golovkin simply knows that he can beat Willie Monroe ?

Andre Ward wasn't even available to fight in May. His options were Monroe, Johnson and Heiland. No one else was available. We can go down the list of fighters who already had fights scheduled or who flat out turned down offers If you'd like.

Some of you guys are wanting him to have fought guys he literally could not fight.

              Do some research !

Ward fought at SMW prior to the Olympics.

He attended the olympics at LHW so that he was not competing against Andre Dirrell, his best friend, for the sole LHW spot.

Insinuating that Ward is " hiding " down at SMW..... will not save Golovkin, and neither will Kovalev

Golovkin has had 9 years to fight a meaningful opponent..... Ward, or whoever.

Ward sounds like he is ready now, Lara sounds like he is ready now.

That is simply not true, you are making shht up !

He said " we will fight anyone from 154 to 168 " !

The statement that was made to specifically stoke the hype-train was.....
                  ..... " we will fight anyone from 154 to 168 " !

But what they really meant was.....

At 154 : we will ONLY fight Mayweather
At 168 : we will only fight slower stationary guys like Chavez/Froch
At 160 : we will continue to clean out the Willie Monroe's

Give up on these clowns. Ward is fighting this Saturday and the way they talk, you would think Ward would be ready to fight GGG in another week or two. Same with Lara, he just fought and they figure he'll be ready to go in an instant. They ignore reality. They do not really follow the sport at all so they do not know what is going on. They are ignorant on the politics and the schedules of other fighters and the general realities of the sport. They have one agenda and that is to dump crap on fighters they do not like.

How is Ward ready now when he has a fight with Paul Smith coming up?

If Lara is ready to fight on HBO they should make that fight then, ain't no one avoiding Lara.
