If Lara is ready to fight on HBO they should make that fight then, ain't no one avoiding Lara.
What will be your excuse after next Saturday?

    • NO one wants to see a Lara fight but his family friends and about 10 other people.

Golovkin has insinuated that the reason why he has an underwhelming resume is because all of the top fighters are ducking him.

Clearly we can see that is not the case.

Well, seeing that Ward has no problem fighting Golovkin, and seeing that Golovkin has stated that he wants to fight the top guys..... it will be interesting to see if Golovkin keeps his schedule free for Ward.

Lara is also happy to be considered as Golovkins next opponent.

The " dey duckin doe " excuse, is rubbish.

Also, the financial excuse..... " Ward dont being enough to the table "..... ?

" you dont bring enough to the table " is genuine justification under the following circumstances ONLY.....

              1) you happen to be Mayweather / Pacquiao / Cotto / Canelo
              2) you then select an opponent who does " bring enough to the table "

Using the excuse " Ward dont being enough to the table..... is not acceptable when you go and fight Willie Monroe.

Golovkin has the exact resume that he wanted.

Clearly that IS the case. You name one guy in Ward who is a weight class above him and has not fought for the past two years.

Here are a list of fighters that Golovkin tried to fight:

-Felix Sturm. Golovkin was mandatory for two years and Sturm avoided him. His ex-manager even said they paid the WBA $750,000 so that they wouldn't enforce the mandatory.

-Sergio Martinez. When he was lineal champ Golovkin obviously wanted a fight, Lou DiBella said "who the f uck is Golovkin?" and they ended up cherry picking Cotto only for that to backfire badly.

-Dmitry Pirog. Golovkins HBO debut was originally scheduled against Pirog. Unfortunately Pirog injured his back during training camp again and pulled out. Proksa stepped in on short notice. Sadly Pirog appears to have a career ending injury.

-N'dam. He was ordered twice to fight Golovkin. N'dam didn't show up to the purse bid both times.

-Chavez Jr. Bob Arum had a minimum of $7m for Chavez, all he had to do is sign a one fight extension. In addition, Chavez would have made $10m his next fight if he beat Golovkin and no less than $5m guaranteed if he lost, even against a bum. Unfortunately Chavez pulled out, didn't sign the one fight contract and got stopped by Fonfara for much less money. So far it's proved to be a poor business decision.

-Cotto. Golovkin offered to fight Cotto since he is mandatory to Cotto's WBC middleweight belt, Cotto passed and went with Geale instead.

-Peter Quillin. Prior to the network fued, team Golovkin reached out to Quillin for a fight, it was turned down. Quillin said Golovkin had to build his fan base up first in order to be a worthy oppouhh N.Y. hi timing and they tiyg.y n k um yt? right thinknent, despite Peter never headlining his own show.

-Carl Froch. Looks like he's going to retire.

The only other name you bring up is Lara who is a 154 pound PBC fighter. Again, if Haymon and HBO can work together again, sure go for it. All indications however tell us Haymon/HBO are rivals and not doing business together (same reason we don't see Leo Santa Cruz vs Lomachenko or Kovalev vs Stevenson, etc).

                    I dont accept that reasoning.

I would accept that excuse if GGG was 1-2 year rookie, but not a 9-year yet.

                    e.g.

After one season, a batting average means nothing..... but after 9 seasons, a batting average tells the whole story.

Common-sense dictates that after campaigning at middleweight for 9 years, Golovkin had plenty of opportunities.

Also, maybe Golovkin needs to drop his undeserved sense of self-entitlement?

I can understand Mayweather stating that a potential opponent may not make financial sense..... and I can also understand Pacquiao/Cotto/Canelo saying that a potential opponent may not make financial sense..... because when genuine PPV stars take that position, they immediately name the opponent who makes better financial sense.....

                    e.g.
Cotto will fight Canelo before even looking at Golovkin, and Cotto will fight Mayweather before even looking at Canelo, etc.....

..... but I cannot understand Golovkin stating that Ward/Lara/whoever dont make financial sense, and then fighting Willie Monroe.

GGG had plenty of time to craft a decent resume, but his best win is Geale.

Cotto is not even a genuine middleweight, and has only been campaigning at middleweight for 5 minutes..... and yet he fought and beat the same guy who happens to be Golovkins best win.

I dont buy the " ducking " and the " financial " excuses from Team Golovkin. Gennady is clearly a very well-managed fighter.
