    Want to compare revenue?

    From the link you posted...

Formula 1 attracts $ 3 billion a year in income, half of that from sponsors
Each team has an average of 25 sponsors, ranging from titles sponsors spending $ 80 million to those with just an association spending $ 250,000, often in kind rather than in cash. The sponsors bet three forms of exposure on the cars, the team and the drivers. For many, corporate hospitality is the name of the game, together with exposure to the perceived glamour of the team.
And those figures are way out dated, back to 2007 in fact.

Still want to compare boxing with F1?

    • Not good I hope the ratings start picking up, I like watching these fighters on regular t.v.networks. The only guy that might like where this is going is Steven Espinoza the president of Sports for Showtime.

so if they burned through 143 million, then 15% of that is $21,450,000 or if thats 30% its 42,900,000

Haymon the man, this he is really all about the fighters is not really true he all about the dollar, keep over paying and feeding bums to his top fighters to keep them winning just keep making him money.

That why he signing everybody up no matter who what or talent level, win or lose he getting paid.

This. PBC is setup as a separate company from Haymond. He aint investing much of his own money into it, which shows what he really thinks of their potential for success. They can and probably will go bankrupt and he will have still made a fortune off of it.

What are you talking about, nobody confronted anything I said and you got real quiet when I brought out Milton Freedman~.

So want to continue that discussion?

Boxing is a sport and sports is what TV networks pay through the nose for, you still haven't laid out why boxing is different. The guys don't fight as often but that makes each event more of a must watch for fans, where you can see other sports stars much more often.

There is a value to scarcity~

What the hell does Milton Freedman have to do anything? Want me to bring out Bill Gates? Also totally irrelevant.

I've laid out one hell of a number of reasons boxing is different from team sports. It is not my fault that you are too dense to understand them. You never even countered so much as one of my points. We will see in the end who was right and who was wrong.

No you didn't, you made some claims but all those individual sports are plenty successful.

Sports is sports, and boxing is one of the easiest to connect personally with because you see them fully (no real protection) you see them going through visible pain while trying to achieve their goal.

Yea I did the whole way, because you are just a naysayer everything positive you overlook and play off like it can't ever work. I actually acknowledge it could fail, you don't acknowledge it can work.

Like my simple example in the beginning you can't even acknowledge that the brand itself will hold a value and say they won't get a TV contract with their current numbers which aren't worse than most team sports.

                    • BTW I was perfectly willing to let this thread die and fade away, you were the one that brought it back spiking the ball like you did something.

You proved nothing other than Americans don't get that F1 is very popular worldwide, which is not shocking news since F1 is not that popular in the US.
