Excuses excuses excuses lol. Funny, before Roach, Cotto would fight anyone. Now he's with the "Manny Team" and his opponents can be orchestrated to make him look better than he is. They should call Wild Card "Wild Excuses" instead lol. Their motto should be:
"Come train with an overrated ******* trainer who can't teach defense or adjustments! Come learn how to master catch weights, excuses and pick opponents who make you look like a killer!!"Comment

Its funny how Cotto has become one of the most hated for essentially telling the truth and doing what's best for his career.
Cotto / Canelos happening next even if Cotto loses to Geale
GGG is not getting a Cotto fight and it has nothing to do with Cotto being scared it has to do with bad timing and GGG doesn't bring enough $ to the table compared to Canelo.Last edited by SUBZER0ED; 06-02-2015, 05:25 PM.Comment

So GGG hasnt beaten a top fighter but hes beaten the man Cottos about to face. Interesting way to sell a fight as Cottos essentially saying hes chosen to defend his title against a second tier fighter at best.Comment

!
But here's the irony of the situation; Ward beat Froch, but Froch is still by far a bigger draw than Ward. Golovkin stands to earn more money and cred by fighting Froch. Some people say that Golovkin needs to fight Ward for validation, but that's not true. GGG has been very active, while Ward hasn't fought in over a year and a half. His next fight is against tomato can Paul Smith on BET. So who needs whom? At this point, it's really Ward who needs Golovkin, more so than the other way around.
Golovkin has fought nobody.
If he cherry-picks old, come-forward, one-leg-out-the-door, Froch..... then he most fkn definitely will need to validate himself by fighting Ward LOL.
Are you serious ?
If you think that Cotto has to "validate" himself against Golovkin, then after Froch, you bet your live that Hypekin will have to fight Ward next.
The blatant bias toward Golovkin - who has done NOTHING - is sickening !Comment

Cotto was reluctant to face Canelo before he destroyed Kirkland. You think he's going to jump at the chance now? I can't wait to see what Cotto fans will say once they realize he won't face either GGG or Canelo. Well, they already have an excuse for him not fighting GGG. "He hasn't fought anybody doe!" Cotto graduated from the Mayweather school of excuses with flying colors!
That fight is obvious.Comment

Moving up and beating Ward would be more than validation, it would make Golovkin the best boxer in the world.
As far as Cotto, probably all he's interested in is keeping that paper title long enough to hand it to Floyd for 50 million dollars.Comment

You can at least admit the only reason you're still a Cotto fan is shared nationality.
Some of these goons are still doing that "he will fight anyone! king cotto!" routine. When you ask them to name 5 boxers in history who cherry picked throughout their career and kept cashing in on it worse than Cotto they go silent.
His record is an unsightly skidmark.
The Sergio debacle was bad enough. Some of us hoped that was the grand finale.
Nope!
Now he's fighting Golovkin's destroyed leftovers at a catchweight, once a year... While publicly ridiculing Golovkin's level of opposition. LMAO!Comment

maybe GGG should follow the "cotto blueprint" and go get a title at 168 and then fight Ward at 164 since "ggg small super middleweight doe".
Oh wait, to follow the cotto blueprint would not be to fight Froch,Ward, Dirrell, etc at all, but instead to fight someone like Stiglitz or Sturm at 162Last edited by OnePunch; 06-02-2015, 05:40 PM.Comment
