The difference between Cotto and Floyd is Floyd doesn't lose. Cotto does multiple times actually. And he's one more Trout away from retirement. Cotto doesn't have the skill or age on his side to wait GGG or Canelo out. He can't duck those guys for 5 years to wait for a bigger payday. Since the Trout fight he's faced a bum and a damaged goods fighter. The next decent injury free fighter he faces will embarrass him again like Trout did. So that's why we get this song and dance, long layoffs, backing out of fights, fighting GGG's leftovers after he at the same time disrespects the fighters GGG beat. Cotto is a flat out clown and nothing like Mayweather. And I'm not even a fan of Mayweather but to try and compare what he's doing to what Mayweather has done is foolish.

It's okay, Cotto has earned the right to be a diva somewhat and is the draw against GGG still. But......

It will all go out the window if he ducks him when GGG is the mandatory challenger.

$50 million, 3 fight deal. Don't think he can fight no-names for that much $$$$

Let's see, I just invested $50 million on COTTO. I signed him up for a 3 fight deal. First fight ( Geale ) I'm not gonna make much of a profit. If he fights the last two fights under contract with other no-names , I'm gonna loose money. If he decides he wants to fight Floyd or Khan I am might loose millions cause I can't guarantee either of those ppvs will be a hit because people might not tune in to see another Floyd fight big numbers PLUS Canelo might fight on HBO on the same Sept. date and therefore make it harder because people might rather watch a free match on tv rather than pay to watch ppv. SO ONLY TWO choices are CANELO or GGG. I GUARANTEE IT!!!! Two most profitable fights.

Cotto throwing a little shade at GGG with some catch-22 criticism.

Hopefully he's just barking, if his next fight after Geale isn't GGG or Canelo I just don't care. He may as well retire if he wants to rest on his laurels.

Exactly my thoughts... so GGG never faced A-class opponents, Geale included... so why are you facing Geale then??

It's called GGG is a middleweight titlist, Cotto is the lineal middleweight champ, stop running Cotto! Or if you're going to run, at least run to a different weight class. You sound hella dumb trying to say GGG hasn't done enough to deserve a fight with you!

Basically he's saying that he's paid his dues, fought the best out there, and aint no up and comer gonna get there and tell him what to do.

but ya read what ya want to read.
He's a hypocrite because he questions GGG's opponents while he's scheduled to fight one of those opponents he just pretty much criticized.

That whole "he payed his dues" is pretty ****ing pathetic. People still give Pacquiao/Floyd **** if they fight some no good /hasbeen and they've payed their dues. Queen Cotto should get a pass though, gtfo with that BS.

Do you seriously not see it?

You are more known for the big fights you lost then the ones you won. Take away the win against a old one legged Sergio who you ducked for years till he was old and injured what big fight did you shine? Plus Canelo did something you couldn't which is beat Trout who embarrassed the hell out of you. And his PPV with Mayweather blew your PPV with Mayweather out the water. Also his TV ratings in the Kirkland fight did more then your fight on HBO with Rodriguez did. Canelo has beaten the fighter you lost to and is pulling higher TV and PPV ratings then you. And saying GGG ain't beat nobody good while he is ducking GGG and fighting the same guy GGG destroyed is irony. Basically he is saying the guy I am choosing to fight instead of all these tough fights is just a bum. lol Cotto sounds like a chump the more he talks and makes excuses for why he is ducking both Canelo and GGG.

Cotto should shut up and vacate.

I understand why he doesn't want to fight GGG, but his MW reign is embarassing .
