The weight difference is disturbing and could have a major impact on the result, this is why we have categories.I would like to see G. fight at super middle first to see what he takes up, it would be a shame to see G. underperform just because of size as he can still do light middle. Can't say it's a fight that I wouldn't like to see....just a little concerned .

I dont know i want to see the fight it just seems like unless ggg is willing to move to 168 it makes no sense. Tho i do think froch ends up winning maybe even dropping ggg i think the size difference will be way more then people anticipate

Manicini knows what he's talking about, Golovkin's is a long range - mid range offensive slaughter, but he ain't very good at the short range deparment, nor a fighter who knows how to fight on the backfoot because he's never had to do it.
If Willie Monroe Jr. showed me something of Golovkin is that a dude who fights good at close range will give GGG problems, now Froch is a Chavez Jr. being augmented, I don't see how Golovkin can steamroll Froch toe to toe, but Froch hasn't been very active lately.
Close fight to me, but I give a lsight edge to Froch.

Originally posted by Koba-Grozny View PostMentioned this a few times - taking on Froch (or Ward for that matter) and winning or even losing a close fought battle would effectively make any further MW fights irrelevant for GGG and he'd pretty much have to forget about those Canelo / Cotto paydays (- not that they're that likely anyway).
There's a vast amount of talent coming up in the MW division with Lemieux, Alvarez, Eubank, Khytrov, Derevyanchenko, Wade, J-Rock, Charlo's that could make great fights. If Golovkin beats Froch, I'd still be excited to see him fight Quillin or Jacobs, I never fancied him fighting Lee though.

Didn't Mancini just Tweet that GGG was the p4p #1 bar none? Guess he's losing faith already? What I'm wondering is: what if GGG beats Froch brutally? How is he ever going to convince the other MWs to unify with him after that? If he beats Froch badly, he almost has to stay at SMW because MWs (and Canelo) aren't going to want any of that.

Froch is a dangerous fight for anyone. Even GGG! Id love to see this fight. GGG will know he is in a fight no doubt. I think GGG takes it by decision and beats up on him in later rounds. But both will throw bombs in fight. Lets make this fight already!
