There are very few people even here who really get boxing and why things work. It does make sense because it is complicated and most people don't even want to watch the sport on that level. Which would be cool if people just shut up and know their role and not act like they are the second coming of Burt Sugar, Nat Fleischer or Micheal Katz (since most are *******s just like him but at least he knew his ****).

It is a great mental exercise breaking down a fight on the things fights really hinge on, but pointing it out is like trying to explain astral physics to a basic algebra student.

Of all the people that I am happy if they disagree with me, he is right at the top of the list. If he agrees with how I see things it automatically make me take another look because it almost has to be the wrong way of looking at it.

Could you tell me more about this astral physics you are talking about? Is it related to astrophysics in anyway? Is their such a thing as astral turf too?

Take it easy Francis, there are plenty of posters on here who appreciate the sweet science and are very knowledgeable. If you've ever been in a ring, you are from from the only one. Not only have I boxed a little, but I've watched hundreds of fights with ex boxers and trainers, you learn a ton watching a big fight by listening to what actual trainers and fighters are seeing. There's a ton of subtlety.

He really did. They tried to claim he won round 3, but could only identify a couple of scrappy punches. Fail.

There really aren't that many that get the sport in relation to the total population here.

Good luck in your effort to gain a higher understanding of the sport though it is not impossible if you want to gain that level of understanding. Most don't give a **** ass about that and I have no clue who you are.

I gamble on boxing and have for a long time, that is my story and that is the lens through which I watch the sport.

Astral planes my man so of course there can be astral turf~

Our eyes are not cameras. Instead, they track onto objects and receive a continuous flow of photons onto the retina, sending information via a chemical reaction to the brain.

The resolution of our eyes and that of cameras is also fundamentally different. When a camera captures an object, it captures it in its entirety to produce an image. Our eyes, again, don't capture a single image, rather a flow of continuous images, but even more than that, we receive the most visual information from our central visual field (thanks to the fovea), and only there is "optimal color vision" and "20/20 acuity" possible.
