Leonard was basically Adrian Broner of his time. Fast strong and above average boxing skill. He just moved more, Floyd would have schooled him. They know it, it's why they knock his style so much, he knows he would not be able to beat that style.
    Jesus.......

So the hell what? People are getting carried away with Floyd calling himself the TBE, anyone with a brain knows that Floyd isn't.

You can say what you want about Hagler's motivation at the time but whatever way you dress it up, what Leonard did was very impressive.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. He's been formulaic for the last 10 years excluding Hatton who's chin is not exactly made of iron and is there to be hit. He was more fun to watch before that for sure though. Not sure what you mean with that last sentence btw.
Leonard basically avoided hagler for 3 years, waited for him to get older and then decided to fight him. im not sure why this is news to u. leonard admitted as much himself. leonard made no illusions about being a guy who wanted all the odds stacked in his favor. especially during the 2nd portion of his career. he was one of the ringside announcers at hagler vs. mugabi and he saw the beating hagler took in that fight and realized he had lost some steam and then decided to fight him. i suggest u pay more attention to the circumstances and stop being wowed by something that ppl criticize floyd for. in fact u just did. smh.

Lol... I completely disagree. SRL is by far my favorite fighter ever but I think Floyd is the smartest boxer ever inside and outside the ring, not that Ray wasn't very, very smart. P4p, SRL will always be the greatest fighter I ever watched. With the way boxing is today, it will be difficult for a fighter to take that title in my eyes away from Ray since they just don't fight each other enough.

Not referring to you in particular. Just the mass criticism of how he fights.

Calling sugar Ray Leonard a more skilled version of Adrien Broner is by for the dumbest thing I seen on this site.

I would disagree, time and time again MW has taken his opponents weapons from them and used their mistakes as his advantage. As far as KO'ing MW...good luck!

So the only point you've made that I didn't was that Leonard wanted to wait for the fight? That doesn't change the fact that he went up 2 weight divisions and challenged an ATG who'd made 12 consecutive title defences, does it? When was the last time Floyd took that kind of risk? Floyd has been criticised for fighting people his size who were past it(Mosley, Cotto, etc.) and smaller(Pacquiao, Marquez, etc.). He hasn't taken a fight that he wasn't the favourite in since Corrales probably...
