To be fair, I've never heard Mancini call a fight incorrectly.

He's not hating on Floyd cos he said Floyd would beat Pac saying he was "bigger, faster, stronger"

I agree..I think fast offensive kinda fighters would trouble May tremendously.esp a guy like Leonard..Whitaker is another one who would have given May a whole lot of problems, although I feel that this is a closer fight then Leonard vs May..

Nothing wrong with that. If u gotta go back to that great era to craft someone worthy...let's just say it says quite a lot.

Ray Leonard's brother stated that Ray in his prime couldn't beat Mayweather. No fighter now or before can beat Floyd Mayweather.

It's ****ing ridiculous. Every damn week an old fighter comes out and says that "Floyd wouldn't beat this HOF-er" or "Floyd doesn't beat that ATG" or "Floyd isn't TBE".

These guys were all boxers they should know the best that this whole "TBE" thing is only marketing, hence it's absolute senseless to argue with it or get upset about it.
The many people who bitching all the time about this "TBE" thing prove the best how effective this marketing really is.

This is just as senseless like when people bitching about Andre Ward being S.O.G. becaue "How he dares to, blah-blah-blah..."
It's a fucking nickname guys, a fantasy name, don't take it literal.
I know it's all marketing. The issue is people like the idiot I've quoted below believe that Mayweather is unbeatable because of his very effective marketing. That also leads people to speculate who could have beaten Mayweather from previous eras. Maybe if Mayweather had slightly more humility then people wouldn't be doing this so often.

Yeah well Mayweather's Uncle's friend's cousin said that Leonard would stop him in the 11th so you're wrong.

Mancini is right. I remember that era very well. Leonard was a complete fighter who could take your head off. Mayweather has never had to face guys who came in to try to murder him like Leonard, Hearns, Duran and Hagler would have done. These guys today get frustrated easily and are content to cash their paychecks.

"Leonard closed the show"....except when he fought bigger elite fighters like Hagler where he boxed smart and played it safe. He boxed smart in the Duran rematch. Floyd closed the show too when he was younger and closer to his natural weight class.

Its true, people were mean....You saw it in street fights also, I mean when it was over you shook hands but when it was on, there was no pulling a gun, or bum rushing.

The thing about Ray is even discounting a lot of his willy ways, he was bigger (other posters have pointed this out, it matters) and Ray did have the killer instinct. Especially in a real bona fide 15 rounder that ring would get real small on little Floyd! I don't think one could time Ray either because he was unpredictable with his combos.

Mayweather won't get the nod with his running and hugging if he fought Leonard.

Sugar Ray was cheered. Floyd is booed.

And Sugar Ray Leonard is American too.
