The top two remain unchanged. Floyd Mayweather’s lopsided win over Manny Pacquiao further validated his place at the peak. Until someone beats him, he has earned the right to remain. His heir may be in place.

Roman Gonzalez finally has the opportunity to show the biggest money market in boxing what may already knew. The Flyweight destroyer is special and, scary as it might be for foes, may only be hitting his peak at age 27.

The rest of the list is well shook up. The great Juan Manuel Marquez (previously number 6) exits the list due to inactivity with no fights in a year and nothing scheduled. It’s a couple weeks shy of a year for Super Middleweight Carl Froch (previously number 7). With nothing scheduled and questions of if he will ever fight again, he also exits. Should anything change before the next update this can be reconsidered.

Wow. I usually love BoxingScene's lists, but I'm questionable about this one. Though it looks like they mostly dumped old standbys that haven't been in the ring lately, and that jumped some guys.

Still, Kovalev and 3 and Golovkin at 5 are real stretches IMO.

At this point how could u even justify Golovkin at #5 or Tim Bradley even being on the list?

Agree on Kovalev and GGG being too high. Also looking sideways at Bradley's inclusion.

Imo Rigo is clearly no 2 p4p soon to be no 1,Gonzales should be 4th,GGG should be where Bradley is,Bradley should not be on the list at all.

I still think there's a clear top 4 in Mayweather, Rigo, Gonzalez, and Pac. Assuming Ward is still Ward, it is a clear top 5. Other than that, the p4p list could go in so many directions. Kovalev should definitely be there somewhere. Just off potential, I'd think Golovkin and Crawford should as well.

Good to see Roman G so high up and thoroughly deserved but Bradley #8?

Taking out a razor thin win over a 40yr old stylistically made to order Marquez he hasn't beaten anybody of note convincingly in about 5 years now and has looked worse and worse everytime out.
