You just assumed that his P4P list is based on accomplishments.

NO, they are not all based on accomplishments.

They should be imho, but they are speculation anyway, so.....

    The only thing more over-rated than " P4P "..... is " lineal ".

Neither should be taken too seriously.

For as good as Gonzalez is and all the hype he is getting, is he really better than Pacquiao or Wlad or can he be ranked higher than Rigo, who only has one stand out win but what a stand out win that is.

How can Crawford be ranked higher than Canelo when Canelo has the better opposition and the better wins?

Pacquiao has dropped to 6th for what? Losing to Mayweather? That's ridiculous. It's why I don't bother with any of these biased and quite frankly, ****** P4P lists. They not only insult fans intelligence but are biased by networks, magazines and personal bias. Money, it's where it's at. Gonzalez is being promoted as such cos HBO, a major network want to sell him as the next great attraction.
I know little about Gonzalez to be honest. I understand he's a three weight champ? I don't know. Not that high on Crawford being on the list yet.

Gonzalez is a good little fighter, solid wins over Estrada (who makes it into the list to promote Estrada v Gonzalez 2) and Yaegashi. Very good puncher too, I think that's the big story surrounding him.

In terms of Crawford, I like him more each time I see him, he has developed from a good, slightly jittery fighter who didn't really like to trade punches to someone who is willing to really hurt his opponents. But when you are leaving off Canelo or heck, even Khan who has proven his worth against better opposition than Crawford, then you can't really take this list seriously.

          Not true at all

            • A p4p top ten list is ridiculous it assumes theres 10 excellant fighters, theres not!

p4p is about talent, skills on both offense and defense, ring generalship with conditioning and effort.

              1. Chocolatito
              2. Rigo (needs more effort on offense)
              3. Mayweather (weak offensively at this age)

thats it theres no others on the levels of these men.
I like GGG and Koval activity and effort and they can be in greart fights soon.
For now their not p4p fighters, just because their dominating doesn't make them p4p kings! Their good and hopefully ready to be solid Champions but p4p Kings means excellence!

I agree 100%, I like Crawford but he hasn't done anything to merit a position in the top 10 just yet. There is fighters more deserving to be there, who have accomplished more. I already mentioned three: Uchiyama, Yamanaka and even Inoue. People crap on GGG but GGG has fought more top 10 opposition (in their respective weight class), than Crawford and has beaten all of them more convincingly than Crawford has his opposition.

                But p4p list are subjective.

I know and we got that fixed. I had initially gone with Yamanaka there but ultimately switched. Missed the age.

Thanks for all the responses everybody. Always fun fodder for debate.

Yamanaka lmao there are at least 10-15 boxers I would have ahead of him!

                    • I dont take P4P lists seriously.....

                      1) they are entirely subjective

                      2) everybody uses different qualifying criteria

                      3) most " P4P " lists, are actually " my favorite fighter " lists

                      4) they are completely theoretical, therefore irrelevant

But yea, sometimes fun to debate.
