Lara out threw and out landed Canelo throughout the 12 rounds. Lara displayed ring generalship, good defense, worked the jab and made Canelo neautral the whole fight.

Canelo got too much credit for punches landed, especially the body shots. Is as if Canelo folding Lara like a chair with those lethal bodyshots that wasn't the case at all. Only punch that Canelo landed was a uppercut and that's it, other than that I just saw his neck snap back and him frustrated.

PR CHAMP....I agree with you. but what lara messed up was running around the last 2 rounds and leaving the fight to the judges. Everyone knows by now, you cant rely on the judges to win the fight for you. lara should of kept throwing his jabs and he would of won.

LOL Ricans wish to God that Canelo lost that one so that Cotto would be safe from the career ending beatdown Canelo will deliver in the coming months!

Lara did drop the ball and squander a good chance and to look good beating Canelo. This fight hurt his career more than it helped.

Djt117 boxing is deeper than nationalistic pride for me. I am a boxing fan could careless if Puerto Rican fighters win or lose. You got the wrong fan, i suggest you learn how to put the national pride poms poms down.

Canelo destroys Cotto would rather see Canelo-Lemieux or Canelo-GGG.

Good. If I want a cure for insomnia, I just need to watch the first fight. Don't need a second one.

maidana got a rematch tho when it was clear he did not win and that he gassed and left doubt...cant believe that u would want to block the top2 or 3 in the division from fighting...forget that money talk or style talk..its the best vs the best..show me that u learned canelo...show me that u can cut off the ring and destroy lara if he wont engage

I thought Canelo beat Lara the same way he beat Trout. I wasn't even close even though some of the rounds were subjectively close if you don't have a preference in aggressive vs evasive style of boxing in a close round. On my card, Canelo took all those rounds and won comfortably.

It makes perfect sense, I think Lara messed up in that fight and he jsut isn't going to catch that break again.

That fight was close, I can see saying Lara won and Canelo can certainly prove more against Lara. Still unless Lara starts making waves (and that dude ain't swimming right now, dead man float all the way) it just would never be on the cards.

Besides the obvious issues as to why that fight can't happen again.
