Indeed he showed heart, and he gave everything, maybe some newer fans(a lot of fighters don't fight that way anymore) don't like seeing that but that is what boxing has ALWAYS been about. I haven't seen one person laugh at Kirkland but a KO is the ultimate victory in boxing, so of course some people are going to be happy about their guy winning that way. I am sorry but if you can't handle a brutal knockout you shouldn't be watching boxing, it's simply silly because it's a goddamn combat sport.

Wow. There was more action and excitement in only 2 1/2 rounds in this fight tonight than the whole 12 rounds in Floyd-Manny last week (Manny landed about 69 punches in 36 minutes).
Kirkland is a though fighter. He is known for coming back after knock downs and has great stamina. I think Alvarez is maturing and getting better despite what the detractors can say. And he likes fighting to please his followers. No wonder why many casual fans like him.

Agreed. I like the way that Canelo feinted to the body to get Kirkland to drop his hands, so he could land that vicious right on his chin. He used his head to facilitate using his power.
