Wow. There was more action and excitement in only 2 1/2 rounds in this fight tonight than the whole 12 rounds in Floyd-Manny last week (Manny landed about 69 punches in 36 minutes).
Kirkland is a though fighter. He is known for coming back after knock downs and has great stamina. I think Alvarez is maturing and getting better despite what the detractors can say. And he likes fighting to please his followers. No wonder why many casual fans like him.

I meant fighting someone else coming in at 160+.

I agree Canelo had the better resume at 154 than ether Charlo or Andrade. But Canelo doesn't fight at 154 anymore.

yea I agree. Kirkland was ready for war or he wouldn't have made it to round 3. he is just too open, always has been.

why so insecure about Floyd's fighting style? he's great but even he won't pretend that he's an exciting guy to watch. not every one has the palate for landing 15 jabs a round and lots of clinching.

give credit where it is due. both canelo and kirkland came to fight.

Yup, much needed for the sport. Big name providing an exciting fight. Now on to Canelo-Cotto. Cotto has to get through Geale and thats not a done deal. If somehow Geale wins, than Canelo-Geale then Canelo-GGG.

New nickname for Kirkland. Instead of the Mandingo warrior call him the fandango warrior because he is fan friendly. I hope he gets back on track and fights some contenders that suit his style. He is still exciting.

Then you go ********** while watching Rigo and Lara. I'll stick with the classic pugilism. There's a reason that the fights in the movies are made to look like this type of fight.
