I thought one of the best points was that other sports update their rules to draw viewers and increase the level of entertainment whereas boxing has failed to evolve and fallen behind as a consequence.
Evander thought he beat Lennox Lewis in fight one with that same ridiculous logic. "Lennox didn't take chances" It's not a boxers job to make it easier for their opponents.

Anyone aware of Floyd's boring style and Manny's massive decline over the past few years knew this would be a flop.

And no they're not upset that the "villain won", they're probably upset that it was one of the most boring fights ever. Didn't Floyd and Pacquaio each set personal career records for least punches landed over 12 rounds?
I don't disagree, but lets be honest, again if Pacquiao won the boring fight people would have been very happy! Of course the fight did not live up to expectation because as far as pure boxing Skills and Overall Talent Is concerned, Pacquiao was NEVER on Mayweather level. Yeah I know it sucks to admit for most but to me that is exactly what the match looked like and that is how it played out.

Yes Leonard vs Hearns delivered because if was a EVEN MATCH UP as far as Skills and Talent. Yes Hagler vs Hearns lived up to the hype because again even match up in styles and skills. When it is truly a even match up on Paper, YES the match up will delivery. That is NOT what we're getting in boxing Brainless Casuals are being Misled by HBO and Idiots on ESPN. They get lied to, they get their hopes up only to be disappointed after Mayweather pick apart the fighters they been told "Can Beat Him".

I don't give a damn what Country it is nobody training young fighters to be "More Entertaining" they're training these guys to WIN!

Sound to me like it is some Fans who want Boxing to be like the WWE in which the fights are Fixed to their Liking for Entertainment Value and boxing just doesn't work like that.

The way I look at it, is if you don't want to exchange punches, if you don't want to get hit, if you don't want to FIGHT, if all you want to do is duck and run and hide, then you are in the wrong sport. Boxing is not for you. Try judo where there are no strikes at all, only throws. Or maybe needlepoint.
Some would just call that getting it done, winning is winning.

Is Floyd beatable or do the rules need to be changed because he broke the system.

Out-boxing is one thing, one aspect of boxing, not the defining style. Problem with it today, is that many out boxers abuse the lack of enforcement of certain rules like holding, ducking below the belt, hitting with the inside of hand (to pull people in) that turn people off. Just like in-fighters that headbutt/lowblow, these are fouls that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, there is no enforcement and even where there is, its highly inconsistent ref to ref.

Something is wrong if you're defense is to duck down to your ankles and stick your ass out at your opponent.

It makes me sad when someone can't throw an uppercut or find a way to find the targets that still exist.

I ain't got time for dumb fighters who can't figure out a different way to skin the cat.

Adapt your fighting all you want as long as the same rules apply. Unfortunately for boxing, they changed the rules to suit Mayweather instead of penalizing him for his infractions.

No, the rules do not need to be changed, they simply need to be enforced.

Exactly. Either fight according to the rules or retire and take up some other sport. Maybe shuffleboard or lawn bowling would be more his speed.

So maybe Floyd should be allowed to wear body armor or something as well and if his opponents cannot head shot him, they are the ones who have to solve the problem?

You know something... the more I think about it the more I am sure that Ronda Rousey would kick Mayweather's ass.

                      Why does he need that?

He hasn't lost as it is, it is not like his fights are called vastly different from the sport as a whole.

You are the one that wants things different, I like fighters deciding it not refs. If a guy is good enough he will get the job done, if not they will most likely lose.
