For the Build up to this event , it should be better than Hagler Hearns.

so, the same power, def not. but he can hurt opponents still oo
Wow...Algieri.Pac back! lol, How often did he hurt a top fighter like Bradley?Mosley was washed up and Margarito was one of the worst fighters I have ever witnessed. His punch technique was reminiscent of an old lady trying to throw a punch.

Pac fans that are looking for mayweather to run are going to be very mad
Some of you make these ******ed comments that it is unbelievable. The first mistake Floyd would be making would be to look at Manny as the smaller guy like you suggest and try to bully him around and he would lose the fight convincingly. Pac is a small guy that fights extremely big with ferocious intent. Go ask all the opponents who have faced Pac who are all bigger by the way. Glad he's not taking that approach.

Floyd will not fight attacking Manny either, that's not his style, doing so will put him in Manny's wheelhouse and it might be an early night for him. He will use his jab, use his reach, try to frustrate Manny, make him swing for the fences, try to pick him off a bit then hope he tires late in the fight when he might try to walk him down. You can book it.

Not sure if that strategy will work though 'cos Manny looked to be training for speed and carrying a high workrate based on his training videos and if there is one fighter that can do it through 12 rounds, it would be non other than Manny Pacquaio. Any other way the fight plays out besides the strategy above will favor Manny.

And if you look and listen to both fighters, Manny seem to be the one going in with the supreme confidence. You can see it in his eyes and by his utterances him wanting this fight more than Floyd, whether that is the case or not. That right there could be a mental edge that is needed to win the fight. It is an interesting fight though and we just have to wait and see who wins.

Yes that is true, is it not massively true tho, that Mayweather absolutely dominated a guy who arguably beat (unofficially more than once) and heavily troubled Pacquiao the most in his career, Juan Manuel Marquez. Also Floyd is a similar fighter to Marquez, so it's fair to say Manny could be in for another very tough night of trying to break down a boxer.

            • Floiyd is just trying to confuse, so he can nick the first round. Pac will be expecting Floyd to come at him, but Floyd wont.

But who knows? But Floyd usually says he will go for a ko, but doesnt.

Mayweather hasn't been aggressive in years, and now he's going to be aggressive against the 2nd best fighter in the world, who's bread and butter is firefights?
can someone explain these wierd angles pac man punches from ive been studying him and his attacks are very fast but usually straight down the pipe, sometime he even leaves his feet when doing it. i dont understand these wierd angles he supposively punches from

Also feels like a mistake to go straight at a guy with the speed. power and awkwardness of manny, feels like you could walk into something. Better tactic from floyd would be his usual approach of feeling him out for a while) maybe being the bigger man for the first time in ages has gone to his head a bit and he thinks he'll be able to walk right through manny or something. IMO if floyd has bulked up looking for the knockout while pac is clearly going for speed and points we could see manny building up quite a big lead
He never said he will be going straight, though. However, what he said, is that he will be aggressive and attack early. Floyd doesn't attack straight. He uses feints and jabs to set up his punches, while confusing opponents. He is not like Brandon Rios, Margarito, Clottey and Dela Hoya who just walks straight in.

                  • He knows Manny can't fight off the back foot so he's probably going to bring the fight to him and then mix it up by backing off and setting traps.

                    • Floyd says he doesn't watch fights but I do remember him watching and criticizing Manny's fights and even comparing fights. Whoaaah!

Remember that Floyd said the same for the Guerrero fight (come forward and fight). After the fight, Guerrero's camp were mad as hell that Floyd lied ...... again.
