Roger, Senior, and Floyd all said (in the 24/7 leading up to ODLH) that they don't go into the ring with a gameplan. They go in with the understanding that Floyd will figure it out over the first 3 or 4 rounds. In a weird way, it makes sense. Why would you develop a gameplan on how to handle someone when you don't even know what their plan is. Better to get a sense of what their strategies are and then develop your own.

There are two guarantees to remember with Floyd. One, he wins. Two, he does so with one punch pot shots and counters.
A person can watch every fight from beginning to end that doesn't make them a true fan of the sport. They can be a true of a certain fighter.

Also it doesn't matter how much of something you watch if you don't truly understand what you are watching.

I think that is what is going on most. A lot of people don't understand what they are watching.

Pac is a completely differnt fighter now... A decision fighter who has a hard time hurting his opponents. Pac's fans in for a rough night tomorrow. Stop living in the past when Pac was capable of knocking people out.

        • Floyd really thinks just because he's a bit taller and a bit heavier he can walk Manny down.

          Good.

I really can't see this as a blowout for either fighter.

And interestingly enough, for the first time I might be picking against Floyd, though I would love nothing more than to see him win.

I can very easily see Pacquiao outworking Floyd. Honestly, if fighters like Miguel Cotto, Canelo Alvarez, and Marcos Maidana were able to win their fair share of rounds (whether they deserved them or not), who's to say Pacquiao won't get the same amount of rounds or more, or steal them for that matter with combinations while Floyd becomes too selective when he decide to throw. Floyd will land, but I feel there is ENORMOUS pressure on Floyd to win this one because he knows he will NEVER hear the end of it if he loses this fight...

I really hope he wins, though, but more than that I just hope we get a fight that we'll be talking about for the rest of the year.
on the flip side, iirc, we got 2 of the judges that scored May v. Maidana 1 117-111 and 116-112. that fight was 6-6, 7-5 May at worst. so, Canelo's "rounds"are b.s., he was dominated. Maidana and Cotto did win their fair share of rounds.
I think tha objective judging will really favor pac inthis fight, but can pac maintain high activity level for 12 rds. and if he does, can may time him wit perfect counter - both strong possibilities

he doesn't have the same power - no doubt. But he knocked down Algieri a number of times. knocked down JMM n fight 4, knocked down Mosely, who said that was the hardest he had been hit. Clottey didn't open up at all, and he took the his foot off the pedal v Margarito.
so, the same power, def not. but he can hurt opponents still oo

What are you talking about living in the past? I was just explaining why he had a hard time with Morales and if you read I was actually talking about the present (that he now uses his right hand). Do take time to read what you reply to, it might help you make a bit more sense.
