You invented Moonves needing to bring Floyd to the table. Moonves was brought in as buffer between the two sides. I wonder what got into your mind to invent that twisted logic.

Uh, no. 5 years of stalled negotiations, excuses and Floyd's PPV numbers on a steady downward trend. Roach goes out on his own and talks to Moonves and BAM......Floyd just so happens to show up at a basketball game to try and claim credit for making the fight happen.

There was no reason for moonves to be there except to get floyd to agree. And since his presence was obviously required, It seems he was needed on the CBS side to get it done.. His old feelings for arum weren't the cause for his presence being needed..

The problem was that both sides had tried unsuccessfully to make the fight before without it happening. Moonves stepped in to act as a buffer. If anything, it appears he was more concerned about the other sides intentions.

According to Roach, Moonves expressed hesitation about Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, who put one Pacquiao fight on Showtime during a leadership change at HBO, but then turned his back on Showtime with Moonves believing two more fights were coming.

The only guy that Arum could not look down on, talk down to, or manipulate.......... was Les Moonves. Hoya/Haymon/Ellerbe were not going to be able to deal with Arum effectively. They had tried that already.

The CEO of my company will involve himself, if a particularly lucrative/important issue needs priority.

I'm not surprised at all to hear of Moonves' involvement, even back in 2009 they required Judge Daniel Weinstein as official mediator..... and since then Arum has alienated himself even more with his lies and manipulations.
