Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Mayweather Didn't Want This, He Was Forced

Yeah exactly.
Like he was forced to fight Mosley, and he was forced to fight Canelo.
But wait, those aren't legit fights are they? Even though he didn't want the fight and was forced?
Will this be any different if he wins? Easy answer.Comment

I agree that Hoya could have accessed any GBP info, if he wanted it.Originally posted by horgeYes, Schaeffer on one end and Arum's son-in-law Todd duBoef on the other,
in a series of exploratory talks. That however doesn't rule out Oscar's having
legit inside info, after-the-fact.
In 2010, Hoya stated that he had not spoken with Schaeffer, and was not up to play with what was happening..... I guess he was busy.Comment

Father times fault I suppose. Was he past it, and faded when he fought Floyd?Comment

Exactly !If Mayweather was forced to drop his demand for more stringent testing and take a lesser cut, and he still took the fight, I'd agree he was forced. He's getting a bigger cut and the tests Team Pacquiao walked from have been accepted...... with no cut off dates. So nope, I'm not convinced. If Pacquiao did before what he's agreed to do now, we'd be talking about a fight happened 5 years ago. You have to ask why it was good to walk before but now it's all fine and dandy.
If Mayweather did not want this fight, it would not be happening.
Everybody within the industry knows that, including Les Moonves.
What you are reading is mainly butthurt child-speak.Comment

Difference is those fights and pretty much every floyd fight ever, a head CEO like les moonves was never needed to bring floyd to the table.. Why was moonves needed if floyd wasn't needing a nudge to get to the table.. Even for tyson-lennox it didn't need the absolute top guy to come down and handle the deal, all of it was done by executives.. Factoring that in, it's pretty clear floyd wasn't really looking for this fight.Comment

Let me go dig up my scorecard from 2007...smh. You and your little girlfriend imdazed need to stop masquerading as boxingscene's scoring authority. You two are a joke. Oscar lost and so did Canelo.I asked for your scorecard, which you didn't post. No it doesn't mean that at all.
Unless there is a KD or deduction, rounds are scored 10-9. You can be dominant in a round or win it close its still only 10-9.
Canelo got a MD against Floyd. Bradley got a SD against Manny. Neither fight was close IMO.
Now please, how did you score the fight?Comment
