When did i say that in this thread? I only said that Ali clinched when he had too, against some of the best of his era, Wlad clinches against guys who are considered bums in this era.

I posted this before, most on this forum would label Ali a "Runner" and a "Cheater" in this ERA of boxing considering how people Criticize Ward, Wlad, Mayweather and Rigondeaux

That being said, what Wlad does is not Clinching, he is putting guys in Headlocks and Leaning on that and he Bear Hugs them not when they're throwing punches but after he punches and even land punches he falls in and grab and Lean in the middle of the ring.

I think it is a joke though how people want to use Ali to defend Wlad Clinches but for other fighters if they was to do what Wlad did he last 2 Fights which was spend most of the fight Clinching more that he throws punches, many of you would be bashing that fight with Multiple Threads.

Did you not watch the video i supplied, Ali did double figure head locks in the first round ffs Count them....wlad does about 3/4 on a bad round, which half the time are not his fault...

I been defending Wlad style, I don't have a problem with his style, Ward style or what ever. It is their opponent job to do something about it, what I Don't Like is the Hypocrites on this forum who b1tch about other fighters tactics but then turn around try to DEFEND Wlad Tactics.

And Ali was called a runner back then. Trying to make an argument that Wlad shouldn't be criticized because of Ali is dumb since Ali was and is criticized.

Actually my point is the opposite, if you're going to Criticize other fighters for their antics, you should criticize ALL don't bash who you don't like but then turn around and try to defend who you do like which is what I'm seeing Wlad fans do!

I watched the jennings fight again and it was hardly wlads fault, often jennings didnt bother fighting out, and wlads hands were free most of the time. its up to jennings whos the faster man to fight his way out.

Ali did horrendous clinches in round 1, they were both free fighters, and he was simply headlocking them.

Wlads a better more Atheltic specimen than Ali.

It makes little sense when I see someone claim we shouldn't compare across eras, all along maintaining the 70s simply must be the greatest era ever. Maybe this is the greatest era ever. This one or the 90s.
