Canelo will beat Cotto and lets be honest. We only want the Cotto fight so GGG can finish his goal of becoming Undisputed.
Nobody really wants to see Cotto brutalized, it would be horrible for Cotto, the viewers, and his family.

Why are a lot of boxing fans such sheep. So many fans can't understand the business aspect of boxing. 1) Cotto held out for a 50 mil contract with RocNation. In hindsight, a 3 fight 50 mil contract trumps a 1 fight 10-15 mil deal to fight Canelo. 2) HBO agreed to air Geale vs Cotto only with the agreement that Cotto begin negotiations with Canelo. 3) Speculation, but, one would think this step aside means actual talks with team Canelo have begun. Which is a fantastic fight if and when its made. 4) If GGG is purely focused on unifying the division than why not Andy Lee? Or purse the IBF whenever that situation clears. Hmm...oh yeah, Cotto & Canelo bring the most money to the table. Hence, it's always about the money. 5) Who gives a **** about GGG's mandatory. It's kind of pathetic, he beat Rubio to force a mando. Wow, big deal, Rubio gets handed a mando every 2 years. Rubio's 5 opponents leading up to GGG had a combined 39 losses and that makes him interim worthy?

But step aside get out of the way, if you're collecting a belt at '54 & '60, and not willing to fight the best at both classes with belts in Canelo & GGG. Geale makes more sense???? Lol! Tim Bradley makes more sense??? Just insulting to the true boxing fan.

Yeah, I would take the money and put a mandatory clause for Cotto to face GGG after the Canelo fight if he is victorious. I know GGG gets the money(it will be a lot). And knowing Cotto won't face GGG, he will still vacates if he is victorious against Canelo...GGG wins no matter what and gets tons of money along the way....
