Chavez Jr. doesn't train. His own father in an interview he gave to ESPN deportes David Faitelson admitted that his son went into the fight without sparring much or even training. He only worked with Goosen a real trainer at the very beginning of March. The same thing that happened when he fought Sergio Martinez. idiot refused to train, was smoking pot, and even trained in the living room.
Chavez Jr is lazy, and really a disgrace to boxing.

My problem with this matchup wasn't that Haymon put in Chavez too tough. My problem is that he put Fonfara in too easy. It was just bad matchmaking. And I'm not saying it was bad matchmaking because Haymon didn't protect Chavez enough. I'm saying it was bad matchmaking because it was a fight that was obvious to me wouldn't be very competitive. Good matchmaking involves making competitive fights, not mismatches like what we got on Saturday.
I admit I was giddy for the fight because I wanted to see Chavez Jr get destroyed for selfish reasons, but overall, a competitive Chavez fight would have probably been better.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 04-20-2015, 06:26 PM.
