  • Comments Thread For: Arum on Chavez: F***ing Haymon Destroyed Our Work

The loss by Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, California to Andrzej Fonfara didn't necessarily bring about unbridled joy from Bob Arum - who had promoted much of his career before they split - who was in attendance for Terence Crawford's impressive stoppage of Thomas Dulorme in Arlington, Texas.

"Well, Crawford's win made me very happy and I wasn't happy necessarily on Chavez's loss because, y'know... what had took us eight or nine years to build, f***ing (Al) Haymon destroyed in one f***ing night,"said Arum to BoxingScene.com on Monday morning.

I read this earlier today. It makes you wonder what is going to be done with Junior now? I really don't think he has the dedication to really commit himself to the sport. His entitlement mentality shows even when he is in the ring. I don't know if this knockout loss will humble him or not, but from has track record, he doesn't care. Let's see if he goes back to 168 where he may still be the bigger guy in the ring on fight night.

It's too bad the fight with GGG didn't happen. It probably will never even be considered at this point, like he tweeted about shortly after Golovkin/Macklin.

Cong**** on being better at protecting your fighters I guess

Arum continually claimed he wanted Froch-Chavez though, which would've had the same result.
