So that's 12-17 million for 2 fights against someone coming up from 160 as opposed to fonfara who is a natural 175 lber. If Chavez was to get exposed he should have done it against ggg and Carl froch, both of whome arum could have gotten him fights with. Even Chavez Sr. Wanted his son to take the deal and now look, his career is in tatters
chavez sr did not want him to take that extension deal with arum he sr was one pushing for jr to leave arum all sr wanted in his son first fight after that lay off was to fight an easier opponent and at 168 junior wouldn't listen and got what he deserved hopefully now he wisen up

You officially sound more ****** than Arum.
Arum clearly said Mexican fighters Don't quit not that they get ostracized for quitting. Perhaps that's what he meant to say or the msg he intended to deliver but that's not what he said. Sorry ****!

I remember different. I remember Sr. wanting his son to re-sign with Top Rank.

Hate Arum all you want. But he's totally right about Chavez. He knows first hand how spoiled and lazy he is. He has no real skill or talent. Just a famous last name and his dad and Arum carefully put him at low weights Against naturally smaller fighters so he could rehydrate and have 20 pounds on the guy. Without the weight advantage he can't even compete. But he is so lazy that I don't even think he can make 168 let alone 160. The warning signs were there for this fight when his real daddy said he shouldn't take this fight. But his new daddy Haymon made him take it and ruined whatever hype he had left. Haymon paid Arum after he threatened to sue and now Chavez is damaged goods Killing Haymon plans for a mega fight with Froch.

Chavez Jr. doesn't train. His own father in an interview he gave to ESPN deportes David Faitelson admitted that his son went into the fight without sparring much or even training. He only worked with Goosen a real trainer at the very beginning of March. The same thing that happened when he fought Sergio Martinez. idiot refused to train, was smoking pot, and even trained in the living room.

Chavez Jr is lazy, and really a disgrace to boxing.
I could care less about Jr. losing.. It's amusing. Just saying, Haymon obviously had an investment in Chavez Jr and he really hurt his stock. The guy hadn't fought in a year and you allow him to fight almost 2 full weight classes above.

Again I don't really care, but I find it interesting.

Is everyone really so surprised?? This was a no brainer, I thought we ALL KNEW that he was 1. Protected and 2. getting gift decisions i.e. being pampered because he was ****. Why is Bob the snake admitting he's been selling us wolf tickets a surprise to anyone? Now Pacquiao is going to stop Mayweather and is looking amazing and will use the DeLaHoya blueprint to fell Floyd. Yah, sure Bob, whatever you say bob!

Maybe the real intention was Froch vs Fonfara?

Please do, I remember an article from boxingscene that Chavez Sr was trying to convince Jr to take the top rank offer.

Sr trusts Arum deeply since Bob got him those big paydays after Don let him go.
