Why Cotto will be better at 147

This is Cotto at 140 at the Cotto-Branco weigh in.

    https://www.*********.com/*********_...EHSZVVOyE.html

This is Cotto ay 147 about a week before the official weigh in.

Cotto looked in great shape at 147,where as he looked drained and weak the Branco weigh in. Cotto also made 147 a week before the fight, So if he only had to make 147 for his fight weigh ins he would be able to do it very easily. I really think Cotto will be much better at 147,better punching power, better speed, absorb punishment better, movement will be better. Cotto will be unstoppable at 147.

Cotto has been struggling w/ weight for a long time, and when he doesnt have to drain himself hes gonna feel so strong and good.

    Maybe, maybe not.

Cotto's isn't very tall, nor is he very quick. His power might not be that great at 147 either. His stamina might improve, but I think his chin will continue to be an issue with him.

Only if his defense gets better do I think he'll do better at 147.

same reason why gatti didnt move up in weight earlier. To take pick on the little guys. He would probally have a higher percentage to being koed in the welter weight. We saw what corley did to him and he was origanly a light weight

Dawg.........when u drain urself to make weight and have a lot of trouble, it makes u weaker, slower, and not able to absorb as much punishment, and jus makes u all around worse.

When u feel better and make weight comfortably, u will feel stronger, faster, and better. You will be able to absorb more punishment and have better stamina.

One of Pacquiao's 3rd round KO losses for example. Pac struggled to make weight, couldnt make weight. He was extremely weak from struggling and got KO'd in the third. After that he moved up in weight and did pretty ***in good for himself.

His chin isnt that much of an issue. He was hurt by Corlet because when he got hit he broke his eardrum, and it affected his equillibrium which afftected his balance which caused him to get rocked. His ear drum still wasnt better when he fought Torres, he was even having trouble w/ balance while sparring. And w/ the combination of Torres' punching power and his equillibruim messing up,he got rocked again. Cotto's ear drum is now better. And take a look at the Corley weigh in, Cotto looked liek a ***in skeleton, then blew up over night, thats very unhealthy and it affected him in that fight.

But when Cotto is not weak from making weight he will be stronger, which means his punching power will be better,he will be faster, like earlier in his career when he didnit have trouble making weight, and his stamina will be even better. Cotto will be better at 147, i knko he will.

Yea but check it out..... His #1 challenge would be Mayweather,a former lightweight. Cotto will be way better off fighting Floyd at 147 than at 140.

Then there is Hatton who is moving up. Former 140 pounder, Cotto would also better off fighting him at 147.

Cotto would be able to take both of their shots better at 147, and will beat them a lot easier at 147.

Then there is Gatti- A former lightweight who Cotto would also better off fighting at 147.

Then there is Baldomir- I dont think Cotto would have any trouble beating this guy.

Judah- A former 140 pounder w/ a glass jaw, Cotto could take him.

The only guy that is really bigger than Cotto is Antonio Margarito. That would be an interseting fight, but i think Cotto's power and better overall skills would make him come out on top.

Cotto needs to make up his mind. I hear 147, I hear Castillo at 140. I mean what the hell.

I tihnk he has alot more challenges at 147. I bet Kermit Cintron would just kill him. Margarito would just use his size and destroy cotto. Cory Spinks would dance around cotto all night.

i really feel that if cotto moves up to 147, which is inevitable. i think he will end up just like vargas. in my opinion, vargas had a better chin then what cotto has now. cotto is gonna face alot of hard hitting finishers in margarito, maywheather, judah, forrest, if he comes down like he says is he is. which is just to give you an idea of guys that could finish opponents alot better than corley and that other guy he almost got knocked out by tried to finish him. which i forget his name at the moment every could. i also think all those fighters i mention will have in mind that he has a suspect chin. not making things easier for cotto. what's sad about if he did move up. is i feel that top rank has protected him too long to protect him another three years at 147. the fans and being that he almost has thirty wins. will prevent him from fighting atleast one of the fighters i mentioned earlier. i like watching cotto and i wish him the best. but it looks like at 147 he will either be another vargas or another gatti.

Vargas problem wasnt the weight, it wa sjus that he jumped in w/ the big guns to early, which Cotto is NOT doing. So maybe Cotto will live up to what Vargas could have.
