Main Events could have gone to and won the purse bid if they wanted it to be HBO only. But they pulled out.

The venue is an entirely different deal then the network.

HBO does fights in MTL and Quebec City.

It's a purse bid... Whoever is going to pay the fighters most, will secure the fight.. What's wrong with fighters getting paid top dollar.. Duva can't pay as much as Haymon so they refused the bid and backed out..

Haymon is not a promoter and as such cannot bid on any fight. Haymon is an advisor/manager and fighters pay him for his services, he does not pay fighters. Promoters pay fighters and if anyone could get proof that Haymon is behind any bids or is paying money to fighters he would be in violation of the Ali Act.
