Honestly I don't care where it happens. On PBC or HBO PPV. Although I'd much rather prefer PBC because I think it will be a PPV flop cause neither are particularly well known among the casuals. But that's just me.

Is HBO willing to grant their fighter the exemption, and vice versa for PBC? I doubt it. Too many egos involved on both sides. Although I think Kovalev is probably more valuable to HBO than Stevenson is the PBC. Just because PBC has a much bigger selection of fighters than HBO.

Is there anyone here who would prefer to see this fight on PBC with it's lackluster, dull production compared to on HBO with Michael Buffer announcing the fight in the ring, with proper fighter entrances with blasting music and ring girls and decent announcers? It will be the biggest LHW fight in history, it will unify ALL the LHW titles, from the lowest rated to the lineal world title. Do you want it on PBC where not one of the title belts will be seen or even mentioned? The winner deserves to hold all the title belts high over his head and celebrate like the true undisputed, unified champion of the world!!!! A fight like this deserves to be on the number one broadcast network for boxing and to receive top notch production values and all the glitz and glamor that go along with a major championship title fight. It does not belong on the lowest common denominator PBC show.

Whether he says if publicly or not, kovalev must be really pissed. He probably just lost 8 million dollars or so and a chance to unify the division in a fight he would be heavily favored to win.

I don't care what the fighters get paid. That does not concern me. Just as I do not care what an actor gets paid for his role in a movie. All I care about is enjoying the show. The rest is internal business and should not concern the fans at all.

If it was on Showtime basic or PPV, I would be fine with that. As long as it is not on PBC. But HBO still puts on a much better show than anyone else, including Showtime. Nothing says championship title fight like Michael Buffer in the ring.
