As long as u gave Dirrell the W , I have no quarrel with u as no ones cards are usually the same .

In other words, Ward will not put himself in the position that he insists his opponents put themselves in by fighting in Oakland.

Besides Ward had no problem letting Kessler or Dawson come to his backyard.

This is either a power trip with both sides trying to call shots or both sides really don't want this and are clinging to this as an excuse.
            Good post !

I agree, that is a bullshht excuse by Ward, what is he thinking.

I'm a big Ward fan..... but like other fighters, even Mayweather, he does give people excuses to throw dirt at him.

I guess they are worried about the hometown aspect, but Ward will beat Froch anyways..... this is just like the Bute situation..... Ward was 100% correct when he said "fakk Bute, he needs to prove himself"..... Bute was dreaming by thinking that he, 1) was qualified to walk around everyone and demand a shot at Ward 2) would be ready for Ward after feasting on subpar comp..... Ward was 100% correct.... but he should have beat the shht out of him anyways.

Now, nobody thinks that Bute could have beaten Ward, but he handed them the opportunity to throw dirt in the first place.

Ward should fight Froch in Nottingham because.....
            1) it makes little difference, like you said
            2) Froch is likely his best opponent/payday
            3) it would shut up the ignorant whiners

I also think your last comment is likely correct as well.....

              Hmmm....

I stand by my / Eastcoasts post above.....

              But, just one comment.....

The fact that you guys used up 4 pages in this thread discussing Froch/Dirrell..... proves that the hometown cooking factor is a valid issue for Ward.

If it was not a valid issue, then you guys simply would not be discussing it..... rightly or wrongly, the hometown factor is valid.

I think that was a close fight, and most likely came down to judging criteria, rather than hometown favoritism, which is unfortunate..... but if you guys are discussing it, then Ward must be thinking it.

We all know that Ward will beat Froch but that doesn't mean that he'll get the decision if that fight takes place in Nottingham . No one really minds fighters somtimes fighting in their homestead , whether its Vlad in the Ukraine , Terence Crawford in Nabraska or Ward in Oakland as long as ur kicking a.. and taking names . But when u lose pretty decisively like Froch did in Nottingham , and ur gifted a unanimous decision , then u should be black-listed from fighting in ur home town . I feel the same way about Garcia fighting in Puerto Rico after the Mauricio decision . But when u look at Dirrell being a 3/1 underdog in that fight , I think we can pretty much assume that Vegas had planted those judges there . Because style wise it makes NO sense for Dirrell to be a 3/1 underdog in that fight unless u knew u could control the outcome . Plus they said during the fight that heavy money was pouring in on Dirrell

You are one of the worst posters on Boxingscene, an appeaser just like BrushmyHair.

Why should Ward fight Froch in Nottingham, when Froch won't even rematch Andre Dirrell after getting a robbed decision in Nottingham?

What's amazing is how you ignore this, like Nottingham showed fairness to an American opponent that Froch faced last time. In Nottingham, to win you obviously don't have to be great, just be a UK fighter with some type of chin that can weather you to the end of the fight. That's not boxing and that's not how boxing should be scored regardless of where the match is held.

Your argument about Mayweather and Ward giving their discreditors' excuses is genuinely cheap crap. Read what you writing, you sound extremely brainless. Ward is able to dominate anyone without much problem, regardless of them being considered at the top of their sport, he makes them look like nothing compared to him. How is that a bad thing? Because he didn't fight an overrated Bute? Why bring up Mayweather? Because he's lineal champion in two weight divisions and P4P number 1? What's your beef? Because Froch and Pacquiao are no where near the P4P number 1 and 2 skill level?

Stop the hate, and try to get your brain on a program that will educate you. You need something to stigmatize your critical thinking to average levels, because it's seemingly subpar of average at this point.

Ward fighing Froch in Nottingham is not an option and should not be one until Andre Dirrell lost is turned in to a win or no contest due to incompetent judging.

Listen. That Garcia-Herrera decision is not on the same cataclysmic scale of f uckery as the Dirrell-Froch decision. NO where close. Garcia-Herrera was a legitimate close fight. Dirrell was robbed with no sweetened tea and crumpets to comfort him.
