There's no reason why Roc couldn't stage the fight in the UK if they won the purse bid, I guess.

I can't see why "Nottingham or nowhere" should be a sticking point for either side if they are still negotiating though.

London is only a couple of hours drive away from Nottingham and Froch would have the same home advantage there - same officials, same crowd, same everything.

So why isn't Froch ok with London? And if Ward is ok with London, why is he saying "no" to Nottingham?

I'm inclined to agree with what other people have posted here. That neither side really wants this fight and "Nottingham or nowhere" is a handy way out for both.

However Ward doesnt want to fight anywhere other than West Coast USA.

Bullschit. Dirrell is definitely more skilful than Froch and has the ability to beat him, but maybe not the heart. Either way, Froch deserved the win in a close fight because Dirrell utterly failed to impose himself and stamp his authority on the
fight.

There’s a difference between imposing yourself while not getting hit, and running. The idea is to be affectively aggressive while remaining elusive. Dirrell only achieved the latter part of that. He ran and avoided doing what was required to make sure there was no doubt about the winner.

When Ward fought Froch he did the opposite. He remained defensive without running. He imposed himself so there was no doubt about his superiority. Clearly there was a doubt about Dirrell because there has been a debate about it ever since. You won’t hear many people saying Froch got robbed against Ward because Ward’s performance was decisive unlike Dirrell’s.

Don’t worry. Keep watching, you’ll get eventually.

That was a clear robbery. I'm only upset that Dirrell wasn't more passionate about the upset. He was and still is to this day, way too calm and nonchalant about it.
