To get a clear victory a boxer has to impose himself so there is no doubt, it doesn't matter whether his style is defensive or aggressive he has to force the other boxer to comply, as Ward did against Froch. Yes, there's a small element of home town cooking, but that's nearly always the case. If you're fighting in somebody else's country you have to be more dominant that if you're at home.

Dirrell failed to get the job done. it's that simple. If you saw a landslide victory you're in the minority.
I can agree wit some of that , especially since ur acknowledging the home town cooking aspect . But I still say that if we swap faces with their performances , there would be no gripes with anyone regarding a unanimous decision given to Froch

That's the nature of close fights, they're open to interpretation. I'm a Froch fan, but I'm realistic unlike many people in this forum. Froch Kessler 1 was also a close fight. Most Froch fans think he won, I don't think he did enough.

The problem is people get behind their fighter and start making absurd claims like "boxing clinic." That's a hard sell in such a close fight. Dirrell's athletic, slick & fast. He looks better in the ring than Froch. But Froch has something that Dirrell utterly lacks, tenacity. That's why Dirrell lost that night.

Ward's left hand was fractured in two places in the last fight. He will be 100% this time, so just imagine.

I'm not a Dirrell fan but I still think he pitched a clinic . I'm am a Ward fan but I think while they both clearly beat Froch , Dirrell beat him more decisively in my opinion . Not because he's better than ward but rather because of the difference in styles between Ward and Dirrell . Here's why ; Dirrell is stick and move in and out, while Ward is more stationary , in and around the wheel house with slick shifting . So I say Dirrell beat him more decisively because Froch wasn't able to engage Dirrell but Dirrell engaged Froch at will / compared to Ward who was available to engage and therefore that fight made for some good exchanges although Andre got the best of most of them

I guess it just depends on how u gauge fights and what u looking for from a fighter .

Because Degale is English and Ward is American. Nottingham would not give him much advantage on performing a robbery if he's fighting Degale unlike it would for Ward. Just watch the Dirrell-Froch fight and you will see why Froch is denouncing London for a Ward fight. His only adjustment in a rematch is not to get knocked out and for it to go to decision to get a high end robbery.

Exactly !!! Why would Ward fight in Nottingham when he knows (after what happened to Dirrell ) he'll lose without a KO , what a set up !

It was a 7-5, 8-4 fight. To give Froch no rounds or 1 or 2 is ridiculous. You don't know what you're talking about.

You are a ****ing fraud and lie if you believe what you are saying.

First of all, Andre Dirrell fought his fight more than Carl Froch fought his. Froch did not impose his will, I do not see how you're asking that of Dirrell who actually boxed circles around him and imposed his gameplan on the gangly flat footed Froch. When Dirrell PLANTED HIS FEET, he got the BETTER OF FROCH in CLOSE FIGHTING and HURT THE GOOF. Froch resorted to holding with one arm to hit behind the head and impose wrestling moves out of frustration. Froch did not win more than two rounds in the fight, he was awarded a hometown cooked on a hometown dish, decision.

Lastly, There were times where Froch was hit and was on the mat, and the ref didn't accurately call knockdown. That is crazy man... Even Dirrell's grandfather seen the shady bs the UK teadrinkers were pulling and told Dirrell, to go for the knockout because they are going to rob him. Americans know how much you foreign countries cheat us, you secretly wish you was us. You guys are less talented, less intelligent, and less honest about yourselves. It's amazing how you are still giving Froch that victory.
