Kovalev also has four, but without illegal tactics and home advantages:

    Campillo (neutral ref)
    Cleverly (in Nathan's home town)
Hopkins (near Hopkins home city [also old enough to be canelo's grandfather])
    Pascal (in Pascal's home town)
fixed hopkins, even though he did outbox him, not entirely because of his power.
    but yeah i agree.
ward's resume is deceiving lol. he be milkin his status like no tomorrow.

Some fans act like Ward's resume ****s all over Kovalev's, but in reality:

Ward's best win is Carl Froch, who had very close fight with Pascal and Pascal got kayod by Kovalev (Pascal fought best fighters and never been kayod before). And like you said Kovalev's wins are far more impressive, because he wins by KO without using boring ass "veteran tactics" (that are often illegal) and on enemy territory.

Abraham was always a caveman, I dont rate win over him highly. Dawson like you said was a drained corpse and Kessler, not much to say about this fight, haha.

Eagerly looking forward to this one.
        He KOed everybody else.

Ward couldn't put away a shot Edison Miranda.

I would rate their wins as:
          1. Hopkins (Kovalev)
          2. Froch (Ward)
          3. Kessler (Ward)
          4. Pascal (Kovalev)
          5. Dawson (Ward)
          6. Abraham (Ward)
          7. Cleverly (Kovalev)

Ward is as irrelevant as Mayorga now. He ducked lucrative fights before and I don't see him making any effort to take meaningful fights. Kovalev vs Ward would certainly attract flies, but I don't see it happening.

(With fair officials, no Jack Reiss as referee, Ward not allowed to use illegal tactics such as deliberate head butts or clamping Sergey's arms).
If Ward is barred from elbowing Kovalev in the face, Kovalev has this one. Ward has the better footwork and fights better off the back foot but Kovalev won't be getting pushed back in this one, hits damn hard and is more versatile than any "puncher" in recent times. There really isn't a better fighter north of 160 than Kovalev.

That's the problem lol beyond beating a prime Froch, what does he have? Elbows to Kessler and ugly wins over Bika and Green? heck Froch beat Abraham more convincingly and a better version. Plus, that Dawson win is a joke of a fight.

Ward has exceptional skills but beyond Froch, possibly Kessler, Ward hasn't faced anyone or done anything impressive. P4P No. 2 Doe! SOG!

Ward has no power to get kovalevs respect.

Nothing to keep kovalev off him.

                    Kovalev has his way
Kovalev has the style and measurements to beat ward up

Ward has now become the equivalent of Malignaggi, Judah, Mosley, people who are coasting into retirement, fighting scraps here and there just for the money. Don't even know why some people still make it look like he's going to go for a high profile fight at some point. It's over. You're just fooling yourselves.
