Evidently Lara is one of Manny's sparring partners for Floyd.

Why do you think he hasnt lived up to his original pledge to fight anyone between 154-168 and the #2 p4p is just one division above. If you strive for greatness and the #1 guy is soon to be retired you'd be fighting for #1 but you wont? didnt we call out floyd for not facing Canelo? What was the word used for Floyd when he didnt fight a guy who was 1 div above him...Same thing applies. Froch recently said he wouldnt fair well and he would know, GGG is a gimmick and probably on one of those undetectables...
Dirrell beat him in a very close home town decision and GGG avenged that loss with an easy win at the Olympics. Try learning about things before posting. It keeps you from looking too ******.

To be honest Geale/Adamu/Rubio/Murray/Maclin/stevens/proszka/Rosado does not prepare you for a Lara - just look at Ishe Smith's face when he fought Lara and he spars Mayweather - total clueles -i think the Monroe Fight was set up to see how he would fare against a slick South Paw before they step up to the plate
I keep reading posts where people claim GGG is 'there to be hit' but it's funny that no one has been able to hit him yet. He is hit on average with 11 punches per round while the MW average is over 18. He hits his opponents an average of, I believe, 26 punches per round in return.

Not so easy to hit after all, and when he does get hit, he hits back at a ratio of over 2 for 1. All boxers wish they were so easy to hit.

I never thought Lara was anything special, however he does present some stylistic issues for GGG. At the END of the day Lara would be massively outgunned with only defense to rely on. If he barely engaged with Canelo, it is nonsensical to believe he would be more active against GGG who is far more dangerous and at this stage a smarter/better fighter then Canelo. Either way GGG is in a lose-lose if he took this fight, but by the same token you can't say no one wants to fight you then not even consider a fight against a legit opponent who is willing to fight you. When Rosado fought GGG that was Rosados first fight at middleweight so Lara being to small will not be an acceptable excuse.

When GGG gets hit he backs straight up, usually doesn't throw punches back. The punch stat at the end of a round may show a 2-1 ratio but that only reflects total punches thrown not WHEN they are thrown. Rosado, Stevens,Murray, and a few others have landed clean shots consistently in they're respective fights but it was unsustainable due to GGG' s superior offense. They also fought to survive for large portions of the fight choosing to be more defensive, not really throwing anything of consequence, but in the moments where GGG did get hit clean he had the tendency to back straight up and not throw back until he was once again balanced enough to retaliate, and the opponent covered up, GGG rarely trades shots.

No one at 160 wants to fight him. JrMWs making challenges are pointless. Come up to MW and then make your challenge. No reason GGG should drain himself down for anything other than a PPV and Lara is not a PPV fight.

GGG doesn't have to trade shots, he just walks through whatever his opponent throws. He uses the first two rounds to gauge his opponent's power and when he is sure that it will not hurt him, he goes straight ahead and destroys him. Look at the punch stats from his fights...

You have to hit a fighter consistently throughout the round to claim he is there to be hit. Everyone takes a few shots during a round. When you get hit less than anyone else in boxing other than Mayweather, you are doing things right, not wrong. And you are not easy to hit.

You have that backwards. Ward was the one playing the game, with his lawyer.
