Shyt let's see how GGG fares against Monroe - his first slick southpaw. Outside of the punch what else does GGG bring to the table? He is there to be hit, Lara does run, but I think from his past performances and public outcry that he will engage more. To be honest Geale/Adamu/Rubio/Murray/Maclin/stevens/proszka/Rosado does not prepare you for a Lara - just look at Ishe Smith's face when he fought Lara and he spars Mayweather - total clueles -i think the Monroe Fight was set up to see how he would fare against a slick South Paw before they step up to the plate

The thing is Lara, is HBO or Showtime or any other t.v network open, to having you stinking up the joint, with your running and boring style.

You would be 100% wrong. I don't think Lara would beat GGG but he would come much closer than Murray and would in fact be the best opponent GGG has faced

If you think that GGG is only a puncher,it shows that you don't know much about this sport. On top of him having great power,he is verry effective at cutting off the ring. He's varied with his punches, and can throw from different angles,as seen in the Rubio's fight. Also,he has a great jab, which can be used as a range finder, and a set up for bigger punches. If a walking punching bag like angulo could drop Lara twice, golovkin finishes him in 6 rounds. And this is coming from a fan of both Lara and golovkin.

With all these tools it kinda makes you wonder why his handlers are so reluctant to match him up with some better competition

theres a reason GGG hasnt faced a "boxer". cause dirrell boxed and beat him in the amateurs. fighters like GGG who are ko boxers dont fair well against pure boxers because they rely on their power and when their power doesnt work and they are forced to use other tools that they havent been able to work on in a boxing match. Why do you think he hasnt lived up to his original pledge to fight anyone between 154-168 and the #2 p4p is just one division above. If you strive for greatness and the #1 guy is soon to be retired you'd be fighting for #1 but you wont? didnt we call out floyd for not facing Canelo? What was the word used for Floyd when he didnt fight a guy who was 1 div above him...Same thing applies. Froch recently said he wouldnt fair well and he would know, GGG is a gimmick and probably on one of those undetectables...

That's understandable, he's young and he's coming up, unlike Lara who has been there for a while, and blew his chances against Canelo and could have gotten a shot at money May.
