If Cotto intended to fight GGG, he would be fighting him on May 19th and GGG would not have had to settle for Monroe. GGG would probably fight Monroe and still take a Cotto fight in June if it was offered to him. Cotto does not have to make any statements about not wanting to fight GGG, his actions are worth a thousand words. If the great fighters of the past had his balls, Ali would never have fought Frazier or Norton or Foreman and Leonard would never have fought Hearns, Hagler or Duran. They did their talking in the ring, not on ****** television shows where they refuse to give direct answers to questions.

And the same goes for Canelo.

I saw Leonard - Duran I live at Olympic Stadium here in Montreal and remember watching Cleveland Denny being beaten by Gaetan Hart and dying two weeks later. I am a product of an age when men had honour and they fought with that honour in mind, not because they wanted to make another million by holding a title hostage.

Cotto has a voluntary defense, if he ever decides who he will fight it against, and then if he has any honour, he will fight his mandatory against GGG. Anything else is unacceptable and an insult to himself as a man and to all fans of boxing.

Again, you are putting the cart before the horse. Cotto will fight Heiland. Why are you in full panic mode with visions of Cotto flying to some secret island immediately after the Heiland fight? Patience... Boxing has changed over the years and fighters are no longer dependent on selling grills on TV or living toothless like Leon in a 2 bedroom apartment in Florida.
